JOJ-BBG Activities
The "Busy Bees” of JOJ are
planning a retreat at a home at
Lake Lanier on October 28 and
29. It is for the purpose of plan
ning all business for the up
coming year. The girls are look
ing forward to this program with
open minds and open hearts seek
ing to plan another great and
progressing year for JOJ-BBG.
JOJ was awarded a plaque by
the Parents Magazine, for having
the most helpful service proj
ects of the year.
A tradition of the JOJ girls
is to decorate the Sukkot at the
Jewish Home. This is one of our
many Creativity and Fellowship
programs for the year.

ANN FRANK—BBG
Although the summer months
are a time when other organiza
tions relax, Anne Frank BBG
really got “on the ball.” On Tues
day, August 10, the girls met at
the Howard Johnson Motel on
North Druid Hills Road, and in
vaded the premises for a full day
and night of sheer fun. Besides"
a few complaints about sunburn
ed backs, everyone really enjoy
ed her stay, and each went home
in hopes of returning again soon.
Mrs. Selma Singer, the club ad
visor, was also present for the
fun-filled vacation.
The summer also saw coke
parties galore, with programs
simply too good for words.
The committee dhairmen the
chapter has appointed have been
at work constantly. Those com
mittee heads are: citizenship —
Susan Leff; fellowship — Ellen
Riegel; creativity—Lauren Stren-
ger and Ilene Friedland; service
—Arlene Sachs; recreation—Janet
Manheim; spirit—Arlene Rosen
thal.
Anne Frank BBG is proud to
say that two of its members went
to International Convention at
Camp B’nai B’rith in Starlight,
Pa. Donna Landau and Lauren
Strenger learned much at this
conclave and we all are confident
that they will contribute much
to the growth of our chapter.
How many of you readers
know that Anne Frank Chapter’s
middle name is ‘Service”? Well,
it is, and we have proven it by
marching for the Leukemia and
Fairhaven Retarded Children
Drives, and thus derive a sense
of satisfaction in knowing we
have done a great service for
those in need.

BBG-Amirah News
BBG-Amirah hosted BBG-De-
borah to a Field Day and a wa

Community Center. There was
stiff competition but Amirah
took the prize in the basketball
throw, the potato sack race, the
3690 inch dash, the 1800 inch
dash, and the Chapter Award for
winning more relays than the
Debs.
At the meeting on Sunday, Oc
tober 3, we received club rosters
typed and distributed by Leslie
Goldstein. We are grateful to her
for this. Michele Alperin led a
discussion on “School and the
High Holidays.”
Dale Cohen and Judy Kunian-

Mother Clinic, led by Susan
Wilen.
Amirah placed third in the
softball tournament and is now
ready to swing into basketball.
We want to thank Irving Penso
and Alan Wolkin for their excel
lent softball coaching. We hope
with their help we’ll be just as
successful in basketball.
One of Amirah’s advisors,
Robyn Berger, had a 9 pound 6
ounce baby girl. Her name is Lisa
Ellen. A hearty congratulation*
from Amirah to the Berger fam
