The petition of ZELMAN SOSNE,
HARRY F. MULDAWER and DAVID
GERSHON, whose post office address

gia, respectfully shows:
1. Petitioners desire for themselves,
their associates and successors, to be
incorporated under the name of
ADVANCE PAPER COMPANY
for a period of thirty-five 135) years,
with all of the privileges of renewal
given to similar corporations by law.
2. The principal office of said corp
oration shall be in Fulton County,
Georgia, but the corporation shall
have the right to establish branch of
fices and places of business elsewhere,
both within and without the State of
Georgia.
3. The object of the corporation Is
pecuniary gain to itself and Its stock
holders.
4. The general nature of the busi
ness to be transacted by the corpora
tion shall be to operate a wholesale
business handling, distributing and
selling all kinds of wrapping materials,
bags and other containers of any and
all kinds whatsoever, whether made of
paper, plastic or other products what
soever, as well as any and all other
paper and plastic products, all kinds
of sundries, notions, novelties, and
any and all other forms, types or kinds
of Items or products whatsoever usual
ly or customarily handled and sold,
or which may properly be handled and
sold, by such birsiness, and to do any
and all acts and things necessary, con
venient, expedient, ancillary or in aid
to the accomplishment of the fore
going.
5. The corporation shall have the
power to enter into, or become a part
ner in, anv arrangement for sharing
profits, union of interests, cooperation,
Joint venture or otherwise, with any
person, firm or corporation in the
carrying on of anv business, operation,
enterprise or venture which this corp
oration has the direct or incidental
authority to pursue. It shall have the
power, generallv and without anv lim
itation or restriction whatsoever, to
hold, purchase, own. deal in. mortgage
or convev real estate and personal
property in this State and in any other
state or country.
6. The maximum authorized capital
stock of the corporation shall he one

Henriette Tirk, financial secre
tary of SF Club, returned late last
week from Miami where she had
been called due to her sister’s ill
ness. Arriving on the Eastern
coast she quickly appraised the
situation and made the decision
to bring her sister to St. Peters
burg where she will he under
Henriette’s watchful eyes.
Belle Gromet Mazier is having
her arm shaken off this week,
since she has entered the grand
ranks of Great Grandma. Her
grand-daughter, Marcia Kaplin,
gave birth to a 7% pound baby
boy on Dec. 3. The hand shaking
takes on a greater significance too
for on Dec. 13 she celebrated the
third wedding anniversary with
her husband Samuel Mazier.
Jacob Adler was honored this
past week by the Jewish Com
munity due to the fact that he has
just celebrated his 93rd birthday.
Friends honored him last Saur-
day with a big birthday party at
the Gulfport Jewish Center.
Caroline Loewenstein under
went surgery Dec. 7, at the St.
Anthony Hospital for gall stones.
The operation was very successful
and Caroline is resting quietly,
surprised that they took out a
stone as large as a man’s thumb.
The writer of this column can
testify to this as I took a good
look at the object in its glass con
tainer.
This columnist is not a mem
ber of the FBI. hut through secret
channels I am informed that Os
car Bilfeld, member of the en
tertainment staff and the singer
of Jewish Songs, is back in St.
Petersburg. Friends spotted him
getting off of a Seaboard Airlines
train on Dec. 9.
Helen Birkhahn is hack on two
feet again and able to get about
like the good old days. Helen was
stung by a stingray, while in
swimming several months ago,
and was unable to walk for quite
some months.
Among the visitors at SF Club’s
last meeting were Mrs. Grace
Margolis, Mrs. Dorothy Kaufman
from California: Mr. and Mrs.
George Rabinowitz from Brook
lyn, George Balaban from Syra
cuse, Beckie Goldman from
Brooklyn. Sophie Gdanski from
New York City entered into
membership and was warmly
greeted when publicly intorduced.
Barney Socol, president of SF
Club, is very active in promoting
the Hanukah Party to be given on
Sunday, Dec. 19, by the Gulfport
Jewish Center in the main audi
torium of the Jewish Community
Center of St. Petersburg. Dona
tion of $2.00 will cover a very
special dinner, which will be
served at 5:00 p. m. including en
tertainment, dancing and the
playing of Guest. SF Club is well
represented in the Gulfport Jew
ish Center inasmuch as many of
its members are members of the
Shul.
On Monday, Dec. 20, when the
National Council of Jewish Wom
en present SF Club with its an
nual Hanukah Party, there will
be some very special events by
the entertainment staff of SF
Club. Among the artists partici
pating will be Nancy Rubin,
Francis Monroe Kellogg, Ethel
Green, Florence Harris, Jessie
Parks, Helen Birkhahn. Manny
Ward and Oscar Bilfeld. The SF
Club Orchestra will play for the
dancing, and a Waltz Contest will
be held. A luncheon will be
served promptly at 1:00 p. m. with
the women of NCJW and SF
Club’s refreshment committee co
operating.
Molly Bauman was hospitalized
last week in St. Anthony’s hospi
tal, a victim of a serious case of
pleurisy. However, she has res
ponded very well and is out of
danger’s way. Ida Gorman has
left Mound Park Hospital and is
recuperating at home. She may
have visitors and she’ll he happy
to greet you.
Ida and Selig Bush have been
confined to the Colonial Rest
Home but Selig hopes to be able
to get to the club meetings sev
eral times a month. Harry Gold
berg has gotten over a shock of
having had his automobile smash
ed into by another car. A med
ical check up found no bodily in
juries. Louis Goldstein had the
DJC-BBG
DJG-BBG, a new “mit” chap
ter, held a progressive luncheon
on December 5.

National Council of Jewish Wom
en is sponsoring a series of field
trips for children in the Economic
Opportunity Authority’s day care
centers. Five NCJW volunteers
will conduct a trip for the chil
dren of each of the five centers
once a month for a year.

Jay Rosenzweig has been named
president of the Savannah He
brew Community School. Other
officers are Mindell Dobbs, vice
president, and Joel Udinsky, sec -
treas.
Dr. and Mrs. L. S. Bodziner
represented the Savannah Jewish
Council at the national confer
ence of the United Jewish Appeal
in New York, December 10-12.
Bobby Zarem will spend New
Year’s Eve in New York as a
member of the sponsoring com
mittee for a ‘Gambol’ to be held
for the benefit of the National
Hemophilia Foundation. Jack
Daniel Zarem, fashion industry
executive in New York, will spend
the holidays in Savannah.
Waring R. Steiner has been
elected worshipful master of Clin
ton Lodge No. 54, F&AM. Sam
uel A. Jessup was elected senior
warden and Ned H. Carlson, jun
ior warden. Among the officers
appointed were Max H. Cooper,
senior deacon: Maurice L. Gefen,
senior steward; Harry Silverman,
chaplain. Martin S. Leffler was
eccted to a three-year term as
trustee of permanent funds.
County Commissioner Marvin
Lesser has resigned from his seat
on the county board effective De
cember 31. Lesser has served on
the board since January, 1961, and
is currently chairman of the fi
nance committee.
Gerald Harvey Cohen, son of
Mrs. Ruth Cohen and S. A. Cohen,
was among •’those who passed the
September Georgia Bar examina
tion. Harold W. Wollstein, form
erly of Savannah, now of Rome,
also passed the examination.
Attorney Harris Lewis has
been named to succeed Bob Bark
er as an assistant solicitor gener
al. Barker is to succeed Sylvan
A. Garfunkel as chief assistant
solicitor general. Mr Garfunkel
is returning to full-time private
