George Jessel, at 67 an ener
getic showbiz personality who
has spent all his life in the field,
was in Atlanta early December
to aid in the selection of an At
lanta "act” to appear on a CBS
Jackie Gleason show in the
spring.
At the WAGA-TV studios Jes
sel saw 10 acts which the station
had screened from over 50 and
taped for final judging. After the
selection of a “modern sound”
folk singing trio, Warner, Porter
and Warner, Jessel moved into
the studios tto tape a show with
Paul Shields. The program, one
of an award winning series en
titled “Dialogue,” will be telecast
10-10:30 p. m. Tuesday, Dee. 28,
on WAGA-TV-5.
The informal interview covers
a wide range of topics from Viet
Nam to television and showbusi-
ness personalities and reveals
some of the striking opinions and
prejudices held by a man who is
a contemporary of every promin

WAGA- News Director Paul

It is going to be a happier

year for several members of the
SF Club, since the hospital doors
of St. Anthony’s Hospital opened

Helen Birkhahn, a member of
SF Club’s Orchestra, was hospi

her discomfort. In the meanwhile
George Birkhahn passes on the
word that Helen is resting quiet

will get to the bottom of her
trouble shortly.
Among the visitors to the SF

much enjoyment and many many
wonderful friends.
Adele Lasday has joined the
entertainment staff of SF Club
and will fill a very important spot
at the piano, playing with the
orchestra and also for the individ

their public appearances in the

month. In the past Adele has
been a professional in show biz.
