Tel Chai Discussion
The Tel Chai Group of Hadas-
sah will hold a discussion group
meeting on Monday, Feb. 14, at
10:15 a. m. at the home of Mrs.
Lester Pazol, 1320 Bramble Rd.,
N. E.
The program, ‘‘Judaism — A
Many Splendid Thing” will be
a panel discussion of the various
forms of Judaism. The panel will
be Mrs. George Kaplan speaking
on Orthodoxy, Mrs. Michael
Levin speaking on Conservatism,
Mrs. Melvin Seligman speaking
on Reform and Mrs. Harry Rob-
bin discussing the Reconstruc
tion movement. Mrs. Robert
Kushner will describe the tra
ditions of Judaism.

The Tel Chai Group of Hadas-
sah will have a dance at 9:00
p. m., Saturday, Feb. 12, at Beth
Jacob Synagogue. Called ‘‘Pass
port to Pleasure Party,” the eve
ning will feature an original skit,
‘‘Carry On, Partner,” written by
Mrs. Larry Pike and Mrs. Macy
Moret. Music for dancing will
be provided by Irv Hinkle and
his band and a midnight break
fast will be served.
Mrs. Moret said the musical
skit depicts two American couples
as they discover that married life
is the same all over the world.
The Tel Chai Players will be
joined by several husbands in the
cast. They are: George Stem, Dr.
Robert Triff, Dr. Morris Benven-
iste, Julian Turk, William Green,
Sanford Karesh, Irwin Levine,
Lester Pazol, Allan Rosenberg
and Hyman Shapiro.

Wilensky, A1 Baraff, Marvin
Cohen, Jack Komisarow, Ronald

Army and Navy Religious Ac
tivities of the National Jewish
Welfare Board.
In 1946 and 1947, he served as
advisor on Jewish Affairs to the
United States Army Commanders
in Europe — General Joseph T.
McNamey, General Lucius D.
Clay, General Mark Clark, Lieu
tenant General Geoffrey Keyes.
He was in personal contact with
all the Jewish D.P. installations
in Germany and Austria.
His duties brought him in con
tact with President Truman, the
Prime Ministers of Poland,
Czechoslovakia, Italy and France,
with Ernest Bevin, Ex-President
Hoover. Pope P ! us XII.
Rabbi Bernstein testified be
fore the United Nations Special
Committee on Palestine when it
came to Germany and also in the
U. S. Congress on behalf of the
Stratton Bill. He is the author
of the Life Magazine article
“What the Jews Believe” which
was republished in book form
and became a best seller.
Mrs. Henry Caplan, chairman
of the Atlanta Zion’st Council,
stated “that it is a real privilege
to have the '-'nr>'>rtnn ;+v
Rabbi Bernstein.” A social hour
will follow the meeting.
