ALEXANDRIA, Va.—Miss Bev
erly Ann Seigal of St. Louis be
came the bride of Dr. Fredric
Malcolm Simowitz in a oeremony
January 29 at the Agudas Achim
Temple. Rabbi Theodore Stein
berg officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Seigal of St.
Louis. The bridegroom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Simowitz
of Augusta.
Following the oeremony, a din
ner was held at the Willard Hotel
in Washington.

Amiel—Rimler
Mrs. Leo Amiel of Atlanta an
nounces the engagement of her
daughter, Anita, to George War
ren Rimler, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Moe Rimler of New York.
The bride-elect is the daugh
ter of the late Leo Ralph AiYiiel
and granddaughter of Mrs. Ralph
L. Amiel.
Miss Amiel attended the Uni
versity of Georgia where she was
a member of Sigma Delta Tau
sorority, and is now attending
Georgia State College, majoring
in psychology.
Mr. Rimler received his under
graduate degree from the Poly
technic Institute of Brooklyn in
engineering, where he was a
member of Phi Sigma Delta fra
ternity. He received his Master’s
degree in Shsiness Administra
tion from Georgia State College
while employed by the Lockheed-
Georgia Co. as a research engi
neer. Mr. Rimler is presently en
rolled in the Doctor of Business
Administration program at Geor
gia State College, where he is
employed as a graduate assis
tant in the Bureau of Business
and Economic Research.

bride of Lt. (i.e.) Robert Ben
jamin Hirsch of St. Simons Island
at an evening ceremony per
formed Saturday, Feb. 12, in the
Temple Ahavath Chesed. Rabbi
Sidney Lefkowitz officiated.
The bride’s parents are Mr. and
Mrs. Arthur Gutman. Lieutenant
Hirsch is the son of Mrs. Hyla
Lewis Hirsch and Samuel David
Hirsch of Savannah.
The bride was given in
marriage by her father. Miss
Peggy Exton was her sister’s
maid of honor and bridesmaids
were Miss Helen Wenrick of
Cincinnati, Miss Marjorie Salo
mon of Long Island, N.Y., cousin
of the bride; Mrs. Herbert
Schimmel of Jamaica, N.Y., sister

Following a reception in the
Beauclerc Country Club, Lt. and
Mrs. Hirsch left on a wedding
trip to Miami.
Newman—Katz
The marriage of Mrs. Annette
Newman and Israel Katz of At
lanta took place on January 23
in the Ellman Chapel of Ahavath
Achim Synagogue. Rabbi Harry
Epstein officiated.
Mrs. Katz is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Goldress of
Philadelphia. Mr. Katz is the son
of Mrs. Helen Katz of Atlanta
and the late Louis S. Katz.
The bride was given in mar
riage by her father. Mrs. Jerry
Goldress of Silver Spring, Md.,
sister-in-law of the bride, was
matron of honor. The bride’s
daughter, Shelly Newman, was
junior bridesmaid.
Usher-groomsmen were Man
uel and Denny Katz of Atlanta,
brothers of the bridegroom, Jerry
Goldress, brother of the bride, K.
Gordon Jacobs of Philadelphia,
and Lee Newman, the bride’s
son.
Mr. and Mrs. Katz have re
turned from a wedding trip to
Las Vegas, Phoenix, Tuscon, and
Guaymas, Mexico, and are
making their home at 1117Roger-
etta Dr., N. E.
Neuhaus—Rosenbloum
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Neuhaus of
Atlanta announce the engage
ment of their daughter. Bette
Sharon Neuhaus, to Dr. Malcolm
L. Rosenbloum, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Sam Rosenbloum of St.
Louis.
The bride-elect attended the
University of Florida and was
graduated cum laude from the
University of Miami, where she
was president of Delta Phi Epsi
lon. She received her master’s
degree in education from Emory
University. Miss Neuhaus is em
ployed by the Atlanta Public
School System.
Dr. Rosenbloum attended
Emory University, where he was
a member of Alpha Epsilon Pi.
He was graduated from the Uni
versity of Maryland Dental
School, where he was a member
of Alpha Omega, and received his
master’s degree in orthodontics
from the Indiana University
School of Dentistry. The future
bridegroom practics orthodon

A June wedding is planned at
Ahavath Achim Synagogue.
