Dwoskin—Feldman
Alicia Sue Dwoskin, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Dwoskin
of Atlanta, became the bride of
Terry Jay Feldman, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Sam Feldman of At
lanta, August 21 at the Ahavath
Achim Synagogue. Rabbi Harry
Epstein officiated.
The bride was given in mar
riage by her father and Mrs.
Michele Rice was her sister's ma
tron of honor. Bridal attendants
were Anita Burke, Phyliss Car
ter, Sharon Weiner, Joan Skor-
man and Marlene Mendel.
Groomsmen were Joel Feldman,
Herbert Mendel, Brent Rice, Paul
Dwoskin, and Myron Dwoskin.
Ushers were Thomas Rosing,
Lewis Kurtzman of Charlotte,
N. C.; Fred Moss, Maurice Burke
of Dallas, Allan Rosenberg, Rich
ard Feldman, Marvin Bernstein
and Melvin Brenner of Grand
Rapids, Mieh.
The bride’s parents gave a re
ception at the Synagogue. Mrs.
Jerry Luks kept the bride's book.
After a wedding trip to Mex
ico City and Acapulco, the new
lyweds will live in Atlanta.
Lumiere—Feder
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lumiere of
Dalton announce the engagement
of their daughter Vicki Ann Lu
miere, to Jeffrey Henry Feder,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mor
ton Feder of York, Pa.
The bride-elect was graduated
from Cazenovia College and at
tends the University of Georgia,
where she is a member of Sigma
Delta Tau.
Mr. Feder was graduated from
the Pennington School and the
University of North Carolina,
where he was a member of Zeta
Beta Tau. He is employed with
Baer Paper Corp. in Baltimore.
The wedding will be held Sep
tember 4 at Temple Beth El in
Dalton.
Reich—Owen
Mr. and Mrs. Eli Reich of At
lanta announce the engagement
of their daughter, Joanne Louise
to Ruben Franco Owen, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Ben E. Owen of Co
lumbus, Ga.
Miss Reich attended the Uni
versity of Michigan where she
was a member of Phi Sigma
Sigma. She presently attends
Georgia State College and will
be graduated next August.
Mr. Owen is a graduate of
Georgia Institute of Technology
where he was affiliated with
Alpha Epsilon Pi. He is employ
ed by Lockheed Georgia Com
pany and is currently working
toward his master’s degree in
aerospace engineering, which he
will receive in September, 1967.
Miss Reich is the granddaugh
ter of Mrs. Joseph H. Slone and
the late Mr. Slone and the late
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Reich, all
of Pittsburg, Pa. Mr. Owen
is the grandson of Mrs. B.
Owen and the late Mr. Owen and
the late Mr. and Mrs. Ruben
Franco, all of Montgomery.
The wedding will take place in
September, 1967.
Miller—Kaplan
Miss Susan Elaine Miller,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius
Miller of Augusta, became the
bride of Hyman Kaplan on Au
gust 21 in the Embassy Room of
the Augusta Town House. Rab
bi Norman Goldburg officiated.
Wedding music was presented by
Jerry Hams, organist, and Jay
Pearlstein, soloist.
The bridegroom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kaplan of
Columbus, Ga.
Mr. Kaplan was his son’s best
man. Ushers were Jerry Kaplan,
brother of the bridegroom; Steve
Peshkin, Irving Clein, Irvin
Miller, brother of the bride;
Pierre Jaffe and Samuel Tenen-
baum.
The bride was given in mar
riage by her father. Miss Char
lene Benjamin served as maid of
honor. Bridesmaids were Miss
Sharon Kenerleber, Miss Loretta
Lipman, Mrs. Robert Maughon
and Mrs. Steve Peshkin, sister of
the bridegroom. Junior brides
maids were Miss Daren Pearl
stein and Miss Terri Miller, sis
ter of the bride.
Miss Donna Miller and Mrs.
Carl Menger assisted at the re
ception.
Following a wedding trip to
Puerto Rico, the couple will re
side at 1544^ Whitney St., Au
gusta.

Judy Schaffer, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Schaffer of
Atlanta will resume her studies
this month at the University of
Tennessee in Knoxville.

Recent visitors to Atlanta were
Gideon and Carmella Yarden,
remembered for their residence
in Georgia while Zeev Dover was
Israel’s Consul for the Southeast.
Gideon was vice consul at the
time and is now first secretary
to his nation’s permanent dele
gation at the United Nations. He
and his wife were returning
from a motor trip to the West
Coast and back along the Sou
thern route for a reunion with
relatives and friends. They were
the guests of their cousins, Mr.
and Mrs. A. S. Candell.
Manger—Levy
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rosenberg
of Atlanta announce the birth of
a daughter, Marla Gail, on Au
gust 23.

of Savannah announce the birth
of a daughter Julia Cecile, on

The marriage of Miss Patricia
Susan Manger, daughter of Dr.
and Mrs. Louis P. Manger of
Richmond, Va., to Jay Sheldon
Levy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Meyer
Levy of Atlanta, took place Au
gust 21 at Temple Beth-El of
Richmond. Rabbi Myron Berman
performed the ceremony, assist
ed by Cantor Morris Okun.
The bride was given in mar
riage by her father. Mrs. Benson
Caplan of Greenbelt, Md., was
the matron of honor. The brides
maids were Miss Anita Joyce Levy,
Chicago, Miss Sara Margaret
Cantor of Savannah, Miss Paula
Sheryl Nedzela of Woodbridge,
N. J., and Miss Ronnie Ellen
Goldman of Richmond.
The groom’s brother, David Levy
of Chicago, was his best man. The
ushers were Benson Caplan of
Greenbelt, Md., Jay Kessler and
Ivan Bock, both of Atlanta, Jerry
Reisman and Stuart Reisman,
both of Miami, and Jon Jay
Manger of Richmond.
A reception was held at the
Lakeside Country Club. After a
trip to Florida and Jamaica, the
couple will live in Atlanta.

Mr. and Mrs. Meyer L. FYankel
of Atlanta cordially invite their

the Bar Mitzva of their son,
Baron Jay Frankel, at 8:30 a.m.,
