Organ Concert
The Hammond Organ Society
in Atlanta has announced a
“Bach to Pop" organ concert
will be held on Sunday, Oct. 30,
at 3:00 p. m. in the Lenox Audi
torium. Tom Thompson organist
from Sacramento, Calif., will per
form in a varied program. Ad
mission is $1.50 for adults and
75 cents for children.

50th at Donor Sunday, October 30
The Atlanta Chapter of Hadas
sah celebrating its fiftieth anni
versary will present as guest
speaker for the Golden Jubilee
Donor Hadassah’s national pres
ident, Mrs. Mortimer Jacobson.
Mrs. Jacobson has just return
ed from a trip to Russia where
she led a twenty-member dele
gation of Hadassah leaders to
study the situation of Soviet
Jewry.

vention. The panel will feature
four members: C. O. Riggs,
supervisor of intake, DeKalb Ju
venile Court; Dr. Hester Means,
co-ordinator of Guidance Service
for DeKalb High School; Rabbi
Richard Lehrman, assistant rab
bi, the Temple; Mrs. Ann C.
Bunch, executive director Guid
ance Clinic, representing home
and family problems; and mod
erator Dr. Larry Bregman.
Following each five minute
presentation there will be ques
tions from the audience, modera
tor and other panel members.
Afterwards there will be a cof
fee social. The public is invited.

will highlight the political scene
in Georgia at a dessert meeting
at 1:00 p. m., Tuesday, Nov. 1,
at the Shearith Israel Synagogue.
Mrs. Bruce Turry, program
ming vice president, announces
that Paul Shields, WAG A news
director will discuss "The Cam
paign, the Candidates, the Story
Behind Each." Mr. Shields, who
came to Atlanta from Baltimore
in 1962, has received many
awards, including the Sigma Del
ta Chi Award for Dialogue Pro
gramming and the AP Award for
“Currents of Contamination,” a
documentary.
Mrs. Arthur Holtz and Mrs.
Harold Hillman are in charge
of decorations and format. Res
