Miss Dayan to Address
Welfare Fund Meetings
Miss Yael Dayan, talented Is
raeli novelist, will be the guest
speaker at two meetings of the
Jewish Welfare Fund. She will
address the Young Executives Di
vision on Monday evening, March
13, and the Women’s Division
Pace Setters at a luncheon on
Tuesday, March 14.
Miss Dayan, who is the author
of three best selling novels, “New
Face in the Mirror,” “Envy the
Frightened” and “Dust,” is the
daughter of the famed General
Moshe Dayan, who was Israel’s
Comm ander-in-Chief of the
Army and served in the Cabinet
ns Minister of Agriculture.
A native Israeli, Miss Dayan
studied political science at the
Hebrew University in Jerusalem,
and worked as a journalist for
the press and for the 'British
Broadcasting Corporation.
Her first visit to the United
States, in 1956, was interrupted
by news of Sinai. Returning home
immediately, she enlisted in the
Israeli Army six months before
her conscription was due. She
finished her tour of duty as an
officer training recruits.
A dynamic speaker, Miss Dayan
has made extensive speaking
tours in this country, as well as
other parts of the world.
Physicians, Dentists Division
Organizes Fund Dinner
The Physicians and Dentists
Committee of the Jewish Welfare
Fund met recently at the Diplo
mat Restaurant to organize its
division for the Jewish Welfare
Fund Campaign. Chairmen of the
Division are Doctors Perry Brick-
man and James Kaufmann.

eral chairman. The Co-Chairmen

Federal Advisory /Council that
drafted the Social/Security Pro
gram.
The Pace Setters Committee
met at a luncheon last week to
review plans for the dinner and
to report on pledges already se
cured.
Dr. Marvin C. Goldstein, gen
eral chairman, expressed his sat
isfaction with the progress of the
campaign which so far has raised
over $200,000, reflecting an in
crease of about 20% as compared
with the same gifts in last year's
campaign.
