To Dedicate Federation Represented
New Chapel, At jjJA Conference
First of Kind
The consecration at the first
Jewish chapel in a private school
in the Southeast will be held at
2:00 p. m. Sunday, Dec. 10. The
chapel is part of the Chapel of
All Faiths located on the cam
pus of Woodward Academy,
formerly Georgia Military Acad
emy, College Park, Ga.
The public is invited to attend
the consecration which will be
conducted by Rabbi Norman
Berlat of Congregation Or Ve
Shalom and Cantor Pincus Aloof
of Congrega|tion Beth Jacob.
A spokesman for Woodward
Academy said, “it is our desire
to offer students not only high
educational standards, but the
opportunity to enrich their re
ligious background by providing
this chapel in which to worship.”
The Atlanta Jewish commun
ity will be represented by a con
tingent of communal leaders who
will join in celebrating Israel’s
20th Anniversary at the 30th An
nual National Conference of the
United Jewish Appeal being held
December 8 through 10 at the
New York Hilton in New York

ceived her academic training in

TA's Mad Show
Opens Dec 13
Theatre Atlanta’s first musical,
“The Mad Show,” opens Wed
nesday night, Dec. 13. ,
The revue, based on Mad
Magazine, will be directed by
Roger Sullivan, New York direc
tor of opera and off-Broadway
shows. All teachers in the six-
county Atlanta area are invited
to the Teacher Preview on
Tuesday, Dec. 12.
“Thd Mad Show” will play

ance on Tuesday, Dec. 19, fol
lowed by its scheduled perform
ance on December 20. It will play
again on the 22nd, with “The

Women's ORT
Plan Opening
Of New Chapter
A third chapter of Women’s
American ORT is in the process
of being formed in Atlanta. Plans
for a charter party will be final
ized at a meeting at 1:00 p. m.
Tuesday, Dec. 12, at the Lenox
Forest Apartments party room.
Mrs. Jack Breasler, 875-6334,
