Miss Mary Sue Flom of Tampa
became the bride of Lt. Frede
rick Martin Rothenberg of Key-
port, N.J., on Saturday evening,
Nov. 25, at Schaarai Zedek,
Tampa, with Rabbi David Zie-
lonka officiating. Parents of the
couple are Mr. and Mrs. Herbert
Rothenberg of Keyport.
The bride was given in mar
riage by her father. Mrs. T.
Stephen Balch of New York was
matron of honor. Other atten
dants were Miss Gwenn Legters,
Mrs. Peter Rothenberg of
\Tempe, Ariz., Miss Connie Krnell
of Euclid, O., and Miss Jane
Greenberg of New Orleans. Julie
Ruth Flom served as flower girl.
The bridegroom’s brother,
Peter Rothenberg of Tampa, was
best man, Groomsmen-ushers
were David Sanders of New
Hyde Park, N.Y., David Hixon
of Bedminister, N.J.; Chuck
Sullivan of Boston, F. Lee Bar
ber of New York City, Joe
Barber of Perth Amboy, N.J.,
and the bride’s brother, Edward
Flom.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Eugene
Kroskin of Savannah announce
the engagement of their daugh
ter, Ann Frances Kroskin, to
Steven Jay Solomon, son of Mr.
and Mrs. William Solomon of At
lanta.
The wedding will be solemniz
ed on February 18 at Miekve Is
rael Synagogue in Savannah.
Miss Kroskin is the grand
daughter of the late Lawrence P.
Slavitt—Portman
WASHINGTON—Mr. and Mrs.
S. Harry Slavitt announce the
engagement of their daughter,
Joanne Lynn, and Barnard Mar
tin Portman, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Ben H. Portman of Savannah.
The bride-elect was graduated
from Woodrow Wilson High
School and is a senior at the
University of Maryland.
Mr. Portman Is the grandson
of Mrs. Sam Portman of Savan
nah.
The future bridegroom was
graduated from Benedictine Mil
itary School. He was graduated
from the University of Florida,
and from the University of Vir
ginia Law School where he was
a member of Phi Alpha Delta
fraternity.
A July wedding is planned in
Washington.
Weiner—Brodsky
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Weiner of
Atlanta announce the engage
ment of their daughter, Sharon
Sue Weiner, to Martin Williams
Brodsky, son of Mrs. Hyman
Brodsky of New York and the
late Mr. Brodsky. The wed
ding will be held Feb. 11 at the
Beth Jacob Synagogue.
The bride-elect is the grand
daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Lester Weiner and the
late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel
Lurie, all of Louisville, Ky.
She attended Georgia State
College, where she was a
member of the Alpha Epsilon
Pi sweetheart court.
Mr. Brodsky is the grand
son of Samuel Brodsky and
the late Mrs. Brodsky and
Julius Bresowsky and the late
Mrs. Bresowsky, all of New
York. He attended the Uni
versity of Miami, where he
was a member of Alpha Epsilon
Pi, and is employed by American
Fruit Purveyors of Atlanta.
Shacter—Lippman
Col. (USA ret.) and Mrs.
Jacob Shacter of Atlanta an
nounce the engagement of their
daughter, Sherlyn Beth Shacter,
to Capt. Mitchell S. Lippman,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul L.
Lippman of Queens, N.Y.
The bride-elect will receive
her BS degree in nursing from
the University of Texas Medical
Branch, Galveston.
Miss Shacter is the grand
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Shacter of Coral Gables, and the
late Mr. and Mrs. Morris Katz
of Augusta.
Capt. Lippman received his
BA degree from Brooklyn Col
lege and was graduated from
the New York University Col
lege of Dentistry. He is stationed
with the U.S. Army at Ft.
McPherson.
The future bridegroom is the
grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Martin
Diamond of Bronx, N.Y., and
Maximillian Lippman of Mon
treal, Can., and the late Mrs.
Lippman.
The wedding will be held
June 30 in Atlanta.
