The Hanuka Festival this year
has aroused special interest on
account of recent events in
Israel and three performances
are being given with all tickets

the hippies. Edward G. Robin

Both Israel and her daughter
were born on the same day.
Roberta . Peters and Jan

Israel at the time of the Six Day
War and “did her bit” in the
war, entertaining the Israeli
soldiers in the camps. -They
made her an honorary member
of the Israeli army and she
proudly wears the Israeli mili

by the soldiers.
In back of the performance

Brooklyn, he was raised in r

“We will bereaving the pres

“with many memories. Madison
Square Garden is one of the
landmarks of American history.
Here great national conventions
have been held, Presidents nom

all kinds, and the Garden is re

We cannot forget that when
Israel declared her independence
in 1948, Golda Meir came to
America and it was at Madison
Square Garden that she lifted
up her voice crying toy help and
American Jewry responded with
funds for the purchase of arms
and it was too at Madison Square
Garden that Ben Gurion came to
first launch the Israel Bond
campaign.
“But we may feel reassured
about the new Madison Square
Garden,” Mr. Brown adds. “We
have a friend there, none other
than Irving Mitchell Felt, the
chairman of the new Madison

is also an Israel Bond leader,
chairman of the Economic Re
