two old-time members returned
to the told. Zelda Zuckerman and
Helen Sterenson are back again
in the Sunshine City.
The entertainment staffs of
both the Abe Adda Poet of the
Jewish War Veterans and the
Senior Friendship Club joined
bands in presenting a Christmas
show to 'the bed-ridden and
wheelchair oases in the U. S. Vet
erans’ Hospital in Bay Pines on
Tuesday, Dec. 19. Among the en
tertainers were Ethel Green, Ben
Belon, Sam Nicoll, A1 Zatlin, and

Work has started in earnest far
the production of the “Gay Nine
ties,’’ the annual stage produc
tion of the SF Club. Ada Marx

Society as lecturer at LaGrange
College, LaGrange, G a., on
Wednesday, Jan. 17. The rabbi
will speak in assembly at 10:00
a.m.f^.on the subject “Judaism’s
Three Way Test For Maturity.”
vRabbi Goodman also will speak
at Reinhardt College, Waleska,
Georgia on Wednesday, Jan. 24
on “The Jewish Idea of God.”
The rabbi will speak in chapel at
10:00 a.m.

NEW YORK (JTA)—Joseph
Tuvim, since'' 1933 the manager
of the local 142 of the Interna
tional Ladies Garment Workers
Union, died here at the age of
71. Mr. Tuvilh was secretary of
t^e American Labor party in
1937 and was active later in the
Liberal Party. He was also a
member of the executive board
of the Central Trades and Labor
