K'ersh-Boaz
Bonnie Kersh, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar C. Kersh of
Atlanta, became the bride of
Daniel Boaz, son of Dr. and Mrs.
Herman Boaz of Atlanta, on
June 23 at the Progressive Club.
Rabbi Harry H. Epstein and
Cantor Isaac Goodfriend offic
iated.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, had her sister,
Mrs. Jill Weinberg of New York,
as matron of honor. Bridal at
tendants were Mrs. Shelly Colin
of Sarasota, Fla., sister of the
bride; Susan Kersh, cousin of
the bride; and Barbara Boaz,
sister of the bridegroom. Beth
and JoAnn Colin, nieces of the
bride, were flower girls.
Dr. Boaz was best man for his
son. Groomsmen were Marvin
Boaz, brother of the bridegroom;
Gary Alexander, Danny Jacobs,
Barry Kersh, and Sam Cristol.
Mr. and Mrs. Kersh gave a
dinner and dance after the cere
mony. Mrs. Joel Alterman and
Mrs. Sidney Pelton of Detroit,
aunt of the bride, kept the
bride’s book.
Moskowitz-Leitman
Gladys Moskowitz, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Moskowitz
of Atlanta, became the bride of
Robert Gerald Leitman, son of
Mrs. Hyman Leitman and the
late Mr. Leitman of Savannah.
Rabbi Harry Epstein officiated
at the ceremony on June 16 at
the Progressive Club.
Mrs. Paul Marks of Macon
was her sister’s matron of hon
or. Nancy and Iris Leitman, sis
ters of the bridegroom, kept the
bride’s book.
Alan Gordon of Jacksonville
served as best man.
After the ceremony, a recep
tion and seated dinner was held
at the Progressive Club.

lanta announce the birth of a
son, Joshua Weinblatt Pine, on
June 13. The grandparents are
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Weinblatt of
Hillside, N. J., and Mr. and Mrs.
Abraham Pine of Tucson, Ariz.
Miss Andrea Smith, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. John Smith of
Tucson, was the winner of a
$500 award at the Piedmont Art
Festival. Miss Smith, a teacher
with the Atlanta School System
at Bimey and Warren Jackson
Elementary Schools, plans to use
the award money to take art
courses this summer at the Uni
versity of Arizona.

The marriage of Nancy Ellen
Wolf, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

to Paul Robert Harris, sop of the

place on Friday, June 14, at Sun-

performed the ceremony.
Miss Paula Hacker of Kingston,

of New York City, Ellen Jane
Krinsly of Scarsdale, Renee Vic
toria Lichtman of Woodbridge,

Michael Harris of Atlanta,
brother of the bridegroom, was

uel Goodrich of Atlanta. Law

The bride, whose father is a
senior partner of the law firm
of Hays, Sklar and Herzberg in
New York City, was graduated
from Elmira College on June 2.
The bridegroom received a
bachelor’s degree in chemical
engineering with honors from
Georgia Institute of Technology,
an MS degree from Northwes
tern University and a PhD de
gree from Michigan State Uni
versity. He is a first lieutenant
in the U. S. Army and will be
stationed at Dugway, Utah. Mrs.
Harris plans to teach the fourth
grade in the school system at
Dugway.
