Hanuka Dec. 15
The Battle of the Warsaw
Ghetto will be the special Han
uka program on Eternal Light on
WSB Radio, Sunday, Dec. 15 at
10:30 p. m. The drama commem
orates both the ancient Maccab-
bean uprising and the Warsaw
Ghetto revolt whose 25th anni

The drama by the late Morton
Wishengrad retells the saga of
the Warsaw Ghetto and its epic
month-long revolt against the
German army. Only the total
destruction of the Ghetto by fire,
with the death of 25,000 Ghetto
defenders, brought the revolt to
an end.
The speaker at the close of the
program will be Dr. Hillel E.
Silverman, spiritual leader of
Sinai Temple, Dos Angeles. Can
tor Robert Segal sings the liturg
ical introduction.
The Eternal Light is a weekly

WSB Radio and the National
Broadcasting Company, in co
operation with the Jewish Theo
logical Seminary of America.
