Radio Personality Farber
To Spark B'nai B'rith Affair
Syndicated radio personality
Barry Farber will be the guest
speaker at the Gate City Lodge
B’nai B’rith Distinguished Serv
ice Award dinner at 7:15, Satur
day, Feb. 22, at the Progressive
Club.
Dr. Marvin C. Goldstein has
been designated recipient of the
coveted award.
Farber, whose program “The
Barry Farber Show” originates in
New York and is heard in Atlanta
daily on WRNG radio, has the
reputation for asking some of
the most pertinent and probing
questions of his guests, and his
talk is expected to be equally
topical, provocative and contro
versial.

received a Humanitarian Award
from B’nai B’rith for being in
strumental in having Andrika
Artukowitch, a former Nazi living
in America, deported He was a
volunteer Freedom Fighter dur
ing the Hungarian Revolt in.1955.
He is a native of Greensboro,
N. C., where his parents still live,
and graduated Phi Beta Kappa
from the University of North Ca
rolina. He was also captain of the
University’s wrestling team, pres
ident of the Carolina Athletic

Olympic Wrestling Team.
Qualified by the U. S. Army
as an interpreter of 12 foreign
languages, Barry Farber also has
a reasonable understanding of
several additional languages and
dialects.

“Sports Night” will be held at
7:00 p. m. Sunday, Feb. 23 at
the Henry Grady Gym.
Couples Club men will play
the Atlanta Falcon all-star bas
ketball team. Falcon players
will include Lothridge, Johnson,
Simmons Talbert and others.
Marvin Cohen will coach
Couples Club stars such as Sol
Feldman, Leon Tuck, Dr. Mar
tin Reisch, Bemie Fredrick and
others.

and continue till 4:30 p. m. in the
Rabbi Geffen Library.
