nounced the appointment of Mrs.
Ben Rice and Mrs. Seymour
Weinberg as co-chairmen for
Advance Gifts.
Both newly appointed chair
men have served in a leadership
position in prior campaigns.
Mrs. Weinstein stated that
“Advance Gifts” is one of the
major campaign divisions consist
ing of contributors of $250 to
$500. She continued — “we are
fortunate to have Bess and Bar
bara on our campaign team this
year. Their leaderhip will prove
invaluable.”

Shaw, to co-chair the Special
Gifts Division for the 1069 Wom
en’s Division Campaign.
Special Gifts for the Women's
Division consists of pledges rang
ing from $100 to $250. More than
250 contributors participate in the
division.
Mrs. Heyman stated that “this
year’s chairmen are seasoned
campaign veterans which is vital
to the campaign this year. Our
goal of $200,000 can only bo
achieved through the leadership
of our Division Chairmen.”
Trend Setters

Charles Weiner and Mrs. Jack
Zwecker have been named to
spearhead the Trend Setters Di
vision for the 1969 Women’s
Division campaign.
More than 225 women partici
pate in this campaign division
which consists of gifts from $50
to $100.

This record amount selected after the epochal visit
of nearly thirty leaders on OPERATION ISRAEL, a
fact finding mission to determine immediate needs
and imperatives. On this page are some of the Cam
paign leadership who are dedicating their energies
to achieving the 1969 goal.

of Edward Ginsberg, newly elect
ed general chairman of the na
tionwide United Jewish Appeal.
Chairman Ginsberg, a promin
ent Cleveland, Ohio, attorney and
communal leader, will address
the annual Pace Setters Dinner
on Sunday, March 16, 6:20 p. m.
at the Standard Club.
This annual event is planned
tor contributors of $1,000 and

ity-wide drive. Feldman and Lip-
son stated that “a record turn
out of major contributors to the
campaign is anticipated. The
community feels the urgency of
this year’s campaign and we trust
these sentiments will be trans

nessmen, were named this week
to co-chair the Scrap Metal Din
ner of the 1969 Federation Cam
paign.
In announcing the selection,
general co-chairman David Gold-
wasser stated - “we are most
fortunate in having men of such

tributors of $500 to $1,000.

Mr. Rittenbaum, a partner in
the firm of Rittenbaum Bros., is
recognized as a dedicated com
munal leader for his varied ac
tivities within the Jewish and gen
eral community. He has twice
served as general chairman of
the Federation’s community-wide
campaign. Mr. Rittenbaum is a
member of the national board of
directors of the Council of Jew
ish Federations and Welfare
Funds, and is on the board of
numerous other local and nation
al organizations. He serves as
vice president of the Atlanta
Jewish Welfare Federation in
charge of the department of
community relations and inter
na] Jewish affairs.
Mr. Cohen, in accepting the ap
pointment, reported that the Di
vision's annual dinner meeting
will be held 6:30 p. m. Wednes
day. Mar. 12, at the Progressive
Club. Guest speaker will be

Mr. Cohen who is co-owner of
Central Metal Company, has
been a participant in many com
munal activities. At present he is
an officer of the Ahavath Achim
Synagogue. He has been an ac
tive B'nai B’rith member, ond has
been closely associated with the
program of the B’nai B’rith Youth
Organization. He is on the board
of the Atlanta Bureau of Jew
ish Education and is cha : rman of
their transportation committee.

Dr. Brickman joins Dr. Nathan

sician, in this leadership position.

Miss Kishon
together with

migrated to Israel from
Rou mania in 1951. She
served in the Israeli Army for
the compulsory months prior to
being chosen a beauty queen.
She is a graduate of the Haifa
Technion. Miss Kishon is mar
ried to an eighth generation
Sabra who also graduated from
the Technion with an engineering
degree.
