Active in the business life of Atlanta and Georgia through the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and the Cfeorgia Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Dwoskin is also deeply involved in the cultural, educational, and civic affairs of the commun/ty. Mr. Dwoskin is a past president of the Better Business Bureau of Metropolitan Atlanta and of the Progressive Club, where he continues as a member of the PASSOVER GREETINGS WEYMAN & CO. Since 1895 Board. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Standard Club. He is a 3tod Degree Mason and Shriner, a member of the Yaarab Shrine Temple. He is on the building committee of the Ma sonic Temple. He is chairman of the building committee of the Mayfair Club. Mr. Dwoskin is a member of the board of trustees of Ahavath Achim Synagogue and serves as co-chairman of its building com mittee. He is on the building commit tee of the new Jewish Home for the Aged, construction of which is scheduled to begin in May 1969. Presentation of the award to Mr. Dwoskin will be made at the NCCJ’s Annual Brotherhood Dinner, April 17, at the Regency Hyatt House. Jackie Robinson, famed Negro baseball player, businessman, author, and civil rights worker, will be the fea tured speaker at the dinner. Mr. Robinson, a native of Cairo, Ga., was the first Negro baseball player irt the major lea gues. He began his major league career in 1947 with the Brooklyn Dodgers and was that year’s Na tional League “Rookie of the Year.” Two years later, he was named The Most Valuable Player in the league. In 1962, Mr. Rob inson was elected to baseball’s Hall of Fame. Since leaving baseball in 1957, Mr. Robinson has campaigned for a number of presidential and gu bernatorial candidates. His labors in behalf of civil rights have earned him numerous awards, including the NAACP’s Spingarn Award and SCLC’s Hall of Fame Award.
