Bible Contest
Winner Is
Atlantan*s Nephew
The nephew of an Atlanta
couple has won the 11th Na
tional Bible Contest held in New
York on May 17.
George Orentlicher of Bethes-
da, Md., nephew of Mr. and
Mrs. Abbott Orentlicher of At
lanta, has won a free trip to
Israel 4s top winner of 120 na
tional finalists from 33 states.
About 20,000 teenagers, ages 12-
16, had competed in the elimina
tion contests.
Orentlicher, 16, is a student
of the Midrasha Community
Hebrew High School and of the
School of Betheeda. As top na
tional winner, he has been
Walt Whitman Public High
invited to participate May, 1971,
in the International Bible Con
test in Jerusalem that is open
to teenagers of all countries,
Jewish and non-Jewish.

On Sunday, June 14, Simcha
BBG had its annual installation
of new officers.
Installed by advisor Sherry
Goldberg, the new officers are:
Cherie Kopley, president; Janet
Cohen, vice president; Judy
Greenbaum, rec. sec.; Betsy Sil

editor; Jeanie Kaplan, treas
urer; Carol Galanty, spirit chair

stallation Dance at the American
Motor Hotel. Mrs. Leon Socol
performed the ceremony.
