Max Rittenbanm, Atlanta, conference chairman; Dr. Abraham Bromberg, Washing ton, expert on Soviet Jewry; Abraham Bayer, New York, coordina tor, American Jewish Conference on Soviet Jewry; and Abe Gold stein, president Atlanta Jewish Welfare Federation. Taking leading roles in the dicnssions during the two days of sessions were rep resentatives from Charleston, Chattanooga, New Orleans and other organised Jewish communities. SOUTHERN NOTES New York where they attended graduation exercises of Adelphi University, where their daugh ter Susan received her Bachelor of Arts degree. Susan was grad uated Magna Cum Laude and was formally inducted into the honorary academic fraternity, Delta Tau Alpha. She will re main at Adelphi, having enrolled in graduate school there. Pioneer Women / Honor President Members of Pioneer Women Club 1 honored their long-time president, Mrs. Rose Leibling, at a birthday dinner on June 17. Rabbi Joseph Cohen, guest speaker, commended Mrs. Leib ling for her devotion to the or ganization. He also praised the organization for its work done for Israel. Mrs. Leibling was presented with a plaque and a birthday cake, and many trees were plant ed in Israel in her honor. Mrs. Leibling will spend a month in Chicago this summer. Berry Rittenbaum, widely known Atlanta businessman, this week is off for a round-the- world trip which will take him to Hawaii, Japan, Formosa, Hong Kong, South Vietnam, Indonesia, Ceylon, Thailand, India, Israel, Germany, Holland and England. If he finds anything of Jewish interest he has promised to write a letter to inform our readers. ft * ft ft Dr. and Mrs. Hyman Zimmer man are back in Altanta after a visit to Israel. Also on the tour were Mr. and Mrs. Sam ELsen- berg and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gould.
