INCSY PARLEY
IN THE CATSKILLS
j On Jtihe 25-29, twenty-four
young Jewish teenagers front the
South attended NCSY’s national
convention in Greenfield Park,
N. Y.
These major Southern cities
were represented: Miami—4, Sa
vannah—8, Charleston—6, Au
gusta—4, Birmingham—1 and
Atlanta—1.
I feel the convention was very
inspiring. It made the real Jew
- come out of a person.
For those who don't know
what NCSY is, let me explain.
It is an Orthodox Jewish group
which promotes Torah and fun
to all Jewish teenagers from the
- age of 13-18. My chapter, Taryag
613 of Beth Jacob Synagogue,
has about 42 members.
Out of the convention. Sou
thern won two awards: Savannah
for the best programming in the
nation and Atlanta for the chap
ter raising the moat Torah Fund
money in the nation.
In conclusion I would like to
say to everyone reading this that
there are still Jewish teenagers
that are fighting to make us,
Jews, a majority in religious and
social factors, and we would
like the help of every Jewish
family in the South. Shalom.
