Mr. «nd Mrs. Arthur Sanders
of Atlanta will spend the next
two weeks in Los Angeles where
they ere attending the July 11
Bar Mltzva of their grandson,
Jerry Kent. Jerry is the son of'
Dr. and Mrs. Leon Kent. His
mother is the former Hanks
Sanders. Accompanying Arthur
and Herta Sanders are Mrs.
Sanders’ brother and sister-in-
law, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin
Schwartz; close friends Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Spiegal and son Wal
ter, all of Atlanta, and former
Atlantans, Dr. and Mrs. Heinz
Bauer and daughter Judy, now
of Washington.
Mark Alfred Zwecker of Atlan
ta was named to the dean’s list
at Georgia Tech for his entire
freshman year.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Poliakoff
of Atlanta were honored by their
children Marilyn and Deborah
Poliakoff on Sunday, June 28,
at an open house reception for
their 25th wedding anniversary.
Mrs. Poliakoff is the former
Blanche Field of Chicago.
A number of prenuptial par
ties are being held in honor of
bride-elect Sherry Hershberg
and her fiance, Alan Jaffe. On
Friday night, July 10, they are
being honored at a Shaj Luau
at the Riviera Hyatt House
poolside. The Shaj was compiled
of the honor guest’s initials.
After the luau, guests will swim
and mingle to meet “the other
side of the family.” Hosts are Mr.
and Mrs. A. L Hershberg, Har
old Hershberg, Mr. and Mrs.
Meyer Abgott and Mr. and Mrs.
Milton Siegel.

Mrs. Israel Wilen will entertain
at a luncheon for the bridal
party and out-of-town visitors at
the Monte Carlo Room at the
Top of the Mart. Saturday eve
ning, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Jaffe,
parents of the bridegroom-elect,
will host a cocktail hour and
dinner at the Tara Room of the
Marriott Hotel. Sunday morning
a brunch will be held at the
La Vista Women’s Club, given by
Mr. and Mrs. Martin Books of
Philadelphia, Mr. and Mrs.
Irwin Siegel. Mrs, Hyman Haver,
Mr. and Mrs. Alan Goodelman
and Miss Paula Haver.
