“BRAVES” PLAY
Donors ‘'brave” enough to dare
what takes place at a Blood
Bank Sunday at Ahayath Achim
Synagogue will be rewarded
with a pair of tickets to see the
Atlanta Braves in action .
Actually, of course, Chairman
Jerry Fields pointed out, the
process is entirely painless as all'
who have participated in these
collections of life-saving fluid in
the past well know.
There have been more de
mands for blood lately than the
Red Cross could possibly meet,
he continued. This is why it is
so very important for able- - '
bodied men and women — re
member the age limit has been
lowered to 18—to come out and
do their share.
Post 112, Jewish War Veterans,
and Fulton Masonic Lodge have
long co-sponsored the Blood
Bank drive. Lately they have
been joined by the Ahavath
Achim Couples Club members. •

Seek Blood Donors
To Help Atlantan*s
Fight for Life
An urgent call for blood donors
has been issued in the name of
an Atlanta youth who is seri
ously ill in Richmond, Va.
He is Danny Oaplan, son of
Dr. and Mrs. Henry Caplan. He
is currently at the University
of Virginia Medical Center
where he has already received
several gallons of blood and is
in need of more.
Donors can give a pint of bipod
directly at the American Red
Cross Headquarters at. 848
Peachtree or participate in Sun
day’s Blood Day Drive at Ahav
ath Achim Synagogue. The blood
however must be earmarked in
his name or as replacement for
blood already received by the
young man in order for him to
secure the proper credits.
Estate Actually
Only Leaded for
Yeshiva High
Actually, well, you see it’s this
way.
In journalistic exuberance
last week, it was reported that
a Southern mansion had been
purchased as site for the Yeshiva
High School slated to open in
Atlanta this fall.
Sponsors wish it were so. The
facilities were acquired on a
rent-lease-with-option-to-buy if
and when growth should make
this desirable status possible.
Meanwhile the stately and se-
oluded f&cilties will furnish
inspiring backdrop for a first-
year class of talmudim who will
pursue a bi-lingual curricula
containing all the basic instruc
tion as any accredited high
school.
