Temple Sinai has announced
a series of discussions for May
under the tile of “Reform Juda
ism . . . Then and Now.” Each
Monday night meeting is at 8:00
p.m.
On May 8, the discussion will
center on “Troublesome Ques
tions for Reform," and will take
place at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Elliott Cohen, 310 Light
house Point, N.W , 256-2666.
“Reform Judaism in Amer
ica” will be discussed on May 15
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Lawrence Friedman, 6270 River
Overlook Dr., 252-9245.
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Brown
will host the May 22 session on
“Present Day Reform Practice.”

Mother-Daughter
Tea for Councilettes
Councilettes, the junior di
vision of National Council of
Jewish Women, is having a
mother-daughter fashion show
and tea, at 2:00 p.m, Sunday,
May 7, at the Clairmont Rode-
way Inn.
Models were selected from
Councilettes who have served
the greatest number of volun
teer hours. Councilette mem
bership is open to girls in 8th
through 12th grade.
At the May 7 meeting Karen
Hertz will be installed as pres
ident. Other officers are Marcy
Weiland, Marsha Rawn and
Beth Weiller, vice presidents;
Risa Levetan, rec. sec.; Margo
Weiller, cor. sec.; Nancy Rosen
berg, treasurer; Jeanette Sachs,

install officers at its closing

Leon Goldstein, who will be
installed as president of Gate
City Lodge B’nai B’rith on Sun
day, May 7, has been affiliated
with B’nai B’rith for 25 years.
The installation dinner is set for
6:30 p.m. at the Standard Club.
Mr. Goldstein was the first
president of AZA Chapter 518.
In B’nai B’rith, his committees
have included ADL, Hillel and
Angel Fund, previously he has
served as secretary, vice presi
dent and president-designate of
Gate City Lodge.
He holds degrees from both
Emory University and Georgia
State University and is active in
Atlanta business circles. He and

Pioneer Women Club 1 will
celebrate the 24th anniversary
of Israel at its closing meeting.
The luncheon will be held at 12
noon, Wednesday, May 10, at

8:15 p.m., Friday, May 19, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 3003
Howell Mill Road, N. W. The confirmation service, with the theme
