Lehrman Lectures
At Reinhardt
Rabbi Richard Lehrman of
Temple Sinai in Atlanta repre
sented the Jewish Chautauqua
Society as lecturer at Reinhardt
College in Waleska, Ga., on
Wednesday, May 3rd. The rab
bi's topic was "We Jews and
You. Christians: A Campus Dia
logue.”

Mrs. Isaac Goodfriend of inter
pretive readings from Jewish
literature, paying tribute to
mothers.
Mrs. Joseph Hershey is re
questing members to send her

air fund raffle which will take
place at the luncheon.

Benjamin Hirsch, who will be
installed president of Congrega
tion Beth Jacob at a dinner at
6:30 p.m., Sunday, May 14, has
been active in almost every
facet of the synagogue since he
became a member 12 years ago.
In addition to many syna
gogue activities, he served the
Atlanta Jewish Community Cen
ter in a number of capacities
prior to August, 1969 and is
presently a board member of
the Atlanta Bureau of Jewish
Education, the Hebrew Academy
and the Jewish National Fund,
in addition, he is an officer and
one of the founders of the
Yeshiva High School and is ac
tive on various Federation com
mittees.
Hirsch was the architect who
designed the Memorial for the
Six Million Jews and also Or
VeShalom Synagogue.
He is married to the former
Jacqueline Robkin and the fa
ther of four children, Shoshanah,
Adina, Michal and Raphael.
At the annual dinner, Mrs. J.
Harry Robbins will be installed
president of the Sisterhood. She
has previously been an officer of
Tel Chai Hadassah and presently
holds memberships in Kadimah
Hadassah, Mizrachi Women, He
brew Academy and Yeshiva
High School. Also, she works as
a pharmacist on a part-time
basis. She and Mr. Robbins have
three children.

over as president of the PTA, is

EXHIBIT AT AJCC
Eastern Chasidic Tradition is
the major theme of works by
Bernard Solomon in a print ex
hibit which opens at 8:00 p.m.,
Sunday, May 21, in the Zabari
Gallery of the Atlanta Jewish
Community Center.
The public is invited to attend
the opening or visit the show
during Center hours through
May 28.

Adults List Events
The young adults program of
the Atlanta Jewish Community
Center has planned several soc
ial gatherings for coming weeks.
A barbeque and swim party
will take place at 7:00 p.m.,
Sunday, May 21, at Zaban Park
on Tilly Mill Road.
Cost for the evening will be
$2 for Center members and $3
for non-members.
A weekend retreat at Camp
Barney Medintz on June 9, 10
and 11 will include horseback
riding, water skiing and other
outdoor activities. Entire cost
for the weekend is $20 for mem
bers and $27.50 for non-meinbers.
The planning committee in
cludes Walt Kessler, Marsh Top
per, Doris Proskauer, David
Shulman, Beth Kaufman, Frosty
Jones, Robin Katz, Leslie Gold
berg and Beth Shapiro.

p.m., Monday, May 15, at the
Shearith Israel Social Hall.
