Banks do it.. Insurance Cos. do it.. Why don’t you?
Double your income
with Tax-Free Bonds!
If you seek an alternative to "taxable" in
come . . . consider Tax-Free municipal bonds
as a rpeans of doubling your investment in
come. Today, 65% of all municipals are-
owned by banks and insurance companies
who, by law, must be cautious in their in
vestments. They don't settle for 5% or 6%
taxable. They recognize municipal bonds as
a means of getting maximum income v/ith
safety.
When you earn 6V 2 % tax-free income, you
earn 6Vi% NET . . . you don't share it with
Uncle Sam. If you are in the 50% tax bracket,
you would need a security yielding 13% to
equal it. And where can you earn 13% in
come . . . with safety?
Tax-Free municipal bonds provide a solid,
steady income from interest paid semi-annual
ly. Interest is exempt from federal income
tax and, in some cases, from state and city
taxes. Furthermore, you have the flexibility
of planning for currenl and future income.
State National Securities will recommend
bonds that return capital when you want it,
to best achieve your investment goal.
Municipals, traded in a broad over-the-
counter market, may be sold with ease.
What's more, they are not subject to many
of the market risks of common stocks and
other securities.
