WSB Radio, ADL to Air
Special Summer Series
WSB Radio and Anti-
Defamation League of B’nai
B’rith of Atlanta are producing a
special summer series entitled
“L’Chaim — To Life”, a 30
minute program to be aired
each Sunday evening at 10:30
pm
This 10-part series will serve
as a summer replacement for
“The Eternal Light.” The first
program will be aired Sunday,
June 10.
“L-’Chaim — To Life” will
deal with a variety of topics that
will be of great interest to the
entire community. According to
Stuart Lewengrub, director of
the Southeastern Office of the
ADL,“The major purpose of the
series is to provide information
and insight into the issues and
concerns of Jews in Atlanta,
America and the world through
frank and open discussions and
through interviews with
personalities that are making
history today.”
Included in the series will be
reports from Arnold Forster,
who is a regular traveler to
Israel and currently the
producer of an award-winning
program entitled “Dateline
Israel”. The Overseas Press
Club of America presented its
1972 Citation for Excellence for
the Best Interpretation of
Foriegn Affairs to Forster for
his Dateline-Israel program,
“Arrival”, which concerned
description of and interviews
with Soviet Jews arriving at Lod
Airport, Tel Aviv.
These are the programs
scheduled for the ADL series :
1, Israel and The World After
26 Years — Israel’s Prime
Minister Golda Meir and Foreign
Minister Abba Eban discuss the
country’s first 26 years and its
meaning to the United Nations
and the world in general.
2. Israel and Black America —
Consul David Peleg — who
served in Zambia prior to his
move to Atlanta — and
Congressman Andrew Young
discuss the relationship of Israel
to black nations in Africa and of
Jews to Blacks.
3. Strong Bodies for a Strong
Nation — Leading medical
researchers tell of their work in
fighting cancer, heart diseases
and drug addiction.
4. Soviet Jewry — A guest
panel discussion of the problems
faced by Jews in Soviet
countries.
5. The Israeli and the Arab —
Who Are They? — Dr. Amnon
Rubenstein, a Professor of
Constitutional Law and the Dear,
of Tel Aviv University’s School
of Law, and Dr. Shimon Shamir,
the Director of the Shiloah
Institute on Arab Studies at Tel
Aviv University, analyze the
thoughts and life-styles of the
Israeli and Arab men-on-the
street.
6. Anti-Semitism in America
— 1973 — A guest panel of ADL
representatives discuss and
respond to questions on present
day anti-Semitism.
7. Christians and Jews —
Father Bruno Hassar, a
Dominican Brother and a long
time resident of Israel, probles
the inter-relationships of
Christians and Jews in the Holy
Land. Recent visitors to Israel
will participate.
8. The Long Road Between
War and Peace — Major
Wolfgang Lotz, Israel’s so-called
“Champagne Spy”, relives his
five long years in Cairo as a spy
before being caught, and General
Haim Herzog, a world-renowned
political-military analyst,
outlines what he considers a
realistic path to Mid-East peace.
9. A Jew and a Black Man — A
guest-panel discussion consisting
of an ADL representative and
one of Atlanta’s Black leaders.
10. Jewish-Christian Relations
in America and Atlanta — A
panel discussion of the forward
and backward steps taken by
Atlantans in solving conflicts
between Jews and Christians.
NCSY Installation
The Atlanta Chapter of the
National Conference of
Synagogue Youth (NCSY), based
at Congregation Beth Jacob, held
its annual Installation Dinner May
27, Installed to head the group was
Stephen Rosenfeld
Others installed were Larry
Birnbaum, vice president-
organization; Cheryl Cenkcr, vice
president-programming; Judy
Frankel, rec. secretary; Jere
Eisenberg, cor. secretary; Mitchell
Esral, treasurer; and Joey Carson,
fin. secretary.
An award for “Most Athletic
NCSY'er" went to Stephen
Rosenfeld along with the “Torah
Achiever" Award Michelle Good
man was presented the “Best All-
Around NCSY'er” award, while
the awards for “Hardest Working

SAVANNAH: Harold Post has
accepted the position of executive
director of the Newport News
Jewish Community Center, New
port News, Va.
For the past two years Post has
been associate director of the
Jewish Educational Alliance in
Savannah. Prior tothat he was af
filiated with the Atlanta Jewish
Community Center for six years
and was the popular director of
AJECOMCE, the Center’s
summer day camp.
Mr Post’s duties in Virginia will
begin August I.

Mrs. Mayme Adler
Mrs. Mayme B. Adler, 76, of
Redwood City, Calif., died Sun
day, May 20.
She was a native of Savannah,
where graveside services were held
May 22 in Bonaventure Cemetery.
Survivors include three sisters,
M rs. Ray Monash of Redwood Ci
ty, Mrs. Etta Wolfson of
Thomasville and Mrs. Ida Hym-
son of Columbia, S. C.; brother,
H. Bluestein of Tallahassee, Fla.,
and a niece, Mrs. Mvra Milker of
Redwood City.
Louis Goldberg
Louis Goldberg, 64, of Savan
nah died Sunday, May 13.
Funeral services were held May
14 with interment in Bonaventure
Cemetery.
Mr. Goldberg was born in
Russia, but had lived in Savannah
for 37 years. He was a member of
Congregation Agudath Achim and
its Brotherhood and was a past
master of Savannah B'nai B'rith
Lodge and Clanton Lodge F &
AM
Survivors include his wife, Mrs.
Vivian Sussman Goldberg; son,
Aaron Goldberg of Augusta; step
son, Hy Sussman of Augusta;
three sisters, Mrs. George
Richman of Savannah, Mrs.
Harry Lurey of Madison and Mrs.
David Zakow of Waynesboro; two
brothers, Nathan Goldberg of
Charleston and Hymie Goldberg
of Waynesboro; four
grandchildren and several nieces
and nephews.
