The bride was given in marriage
by Philip Turel/ky, and her sister,
Mrs. Edward Cone of Clarkston,
Ga., was her matron of honor.
Bridal attendants were Mrs. Neal
Miller of Charleston, Mrs. James
Lewin of New Orleans, Miss Pat-
tie Ragsdale and Miss Sharon
Zalvis of Decatur
Harold Goodrich of
Milledgeville was best man.
Groomsmen were Lee Padove of
Milledgeville, Neal Miller of
Charleston, James Lewin of New
Orleans, Jack Rosenberg of Atlan
ta, C harles Freedman and Edard
Cone of Clarkston.
A reception was given at the
synagogue following the
ceremony. The place cards were
kept by Miss Ellen Konowit/ of
Oceanside, N.V. The bride’s book
was kept by Mrs. Ronald Blum of
Atlanta.
After a redding trip to Florida,
Dr and Mrs. Padove will live in
Augusta.
Miller-Rubin
Mr. and Mrs. Hyman Miller of
Atlanta announce the engagement
of his daughter, Ronne Marilyn
Miller, to Jerry Leonard Rubin,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Elliot Rubin
of Atlanta. Miss Miller is the
daughter of the late Sophie S.
Miller.
Miss Miller attended
Washington University and was
graduated from Georgia State
University. She is employed as a
vocational rehabilitation counselor
with the State Department of
Human Resources, Office of

Bruce Harvey Beerman, son of
Mr and Mrs. Fred Beerman of
Atlanta, has been notified by the
acting dean of the University of
(ieorgia School of Law that his
average of 3.94 placed him first in
class standing for his second year
of law school. Bruce graduated
from Dykes High School and
received a bachelor of mechanical
engineering degree from Georgia
Tech in June 1971.
Mr and Mrs. Alan C Manhcim
of Atlanta are spending seven
weeks in Washington where Mr.
Manheim is working as an intern
in the office of Sen. Herman
Talmadge. Manheim is a senior
law student at the University of
Georgia, a dean’s list student and
treasurer of the Student Bar Assn
Alan is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Morris H. Manheim Jr. of Atlanta
and the grandson of Mrs Rose
Manheim and Mr. and Mrs Sol
O. Klotz of Atlanta.
Gary E. Jackson, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Kenneth Jackson of Atlanta
and Pine Mountain, has passed the
requirements for certified public
accountant designation. He is the
grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Julian
Rehabilitation Services.
Mr Rubin attended the Univer
sity of Georgia. He is vice-
president of Audrey Carpet Mills
in Atlanta.
The wedding will be held
September 16 at the Mariott
Motor Hotel.
Zwerner-Felt
Mr. and Mrs. Robert M. Travis
of Atlanta announce the marriage
of their daughter, Sally Travis
Zwerner, to William Breton Felt
of Memphis.
Rabbi James Wax officiated at
the ceremony held Saturday even
ing, July 28, at Temple Israel in
Memphis.
Kugleman-Spivak
Amy Kugleman of New York
became the bride of William (Bil
ly) Spivak of Atlanta June 10 in
the Young Israel Hall, Bronx,
N.Y.
The traditional ceremony was
conducted by Rabbi Simon
Schwab of Broyers Synagogue.
The bride is the daughter of Mr
and Mrs. Max Kugleman of New
York and the granddaughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Hans Greenwald
and Mrs. Hugo Kugleman. She is
the sister of Elliot and Niel
Kugleman.
The bridegroom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Abe Spivak of
Atlanta, and the grandson of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bizinsky
of Atlanta and the late Mr. and
Mrs. Jacob Spivak of Wilkes
Barre, Penna. The bridegroom's
brother is Rabbi Jack Spivak of
Springs Valley, N. Y , formerly of
Atlanta.
Elliot Royston was best man.
The bridesmaids were Merrill
Spivak, Debbie Rosenfeld, Carrie
Wachtel, Rona Bterman, Linda
Kaufman and Julia Siebyehener.
T he bride is a graduate of Rabbi
Simon Ralph Hirsch Yeshiva and
Hahn of Atlanta. A graduate of
the Wharton School of Finance
and Commerce, University of
Pennsylvania, Gary has now com
pleted his first year of study at the
University of Georgia school of
law. He is presently a law clerk for
an Atlanta law firm.
Mark Zwecker son of Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Zwecker of Atlanta has
graduated with highest honors
from the Georgia Institute of
Technology. For his efforts Mark
was selected to the Industrial
Engineering Honor Society Alpha
Pi Mu, the national engineering
honor society Tau Beta Pi, and the
Tech chapter of Alpha Pi Mu. He
received the degree of Bachelors of
Science in Industrial and Systems
Engineering
Outside of class Mark also es
tablished himself on the Tech cam
pus, He served as the community
service chairman and internal vice
president for the Ga. Tech Student
Center, public relations director
for Technology Week II. He was
selected to Koseme, a honorary
society open to outstanding
members of the junior class, the
Tech chapter of Omicron Delta
Kappa, and ANAK which is the
highest honor that a Tech student
can receive. He won the 1971
Community Service Award, and a
Ga Tech National Advisory

sing
The bridegroom is a graduate of
Yeshiva University, magna cum
laude, with a BA in chemistry and
is now attending Albert Einstein
College of Medicine.

After the ceremony, the bride’s
parents entertained at "a seated
dinner in the social hall of Young
Israel.
Pomerantz-Sugarman
Mr. and Mrs. Howad E.
Pomerantz of Great Neck, N.Y.,
announce the engagement of their
daughter, Janet Susan Pomerantz.
to Richard Alan Sugarman, son of
Dr. and.Mrs. Marvin M. Sugar-
man of Atlanta.
The bride-elect is the graud-
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel
Pomerantz and Mrs. Abraham
Sanders and the late Mr. Sanders,
all of Great Neck.
Miss Pomerantz was a cum laude
graduate of the University of
Pennsylvania and received a BA
degree in history. She is attending
Emory,University School of Law.
Mr. Sugarman is the grandson
of Mrs. Sam Sugarman and the
late Mr Sugarman and the late
Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Gilver.
The future bridegroom received
a BA degree in American civiliza
tion from the University of Penn
sylvania. He is attending the
Emory University School of Den
tistry.
The wedding will be held August
26 at Temple Beth-EI in Great
Neck.

At present Mark is working in
the Washington office of Senator
Herman E. Talmadge.
Gelb Resigns
JNF Position
The resignation of Martin S.
Gelb as regional director of the
Jewish National Fund has been an
nounced by Elliott Goldberg, JNF
Council president.
/^special meeting of the Atlanta
JNF Council will take place at
8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at the
AJCC.
Abram Salomon, national ex
ecutive director, said a new direc
tor will be named shortly.
