Chicken A La Kiev in Corn Flakes Crumbs
Chicken, chicken. Everybody is
always looking for something
different to do with chicken. So
what've you got to lose? Try this
chicken recipe on for size.
4 whole chicken
breasts {about 1
ozs. each)
1 stick pane
margarine
I tsp. freeze-
dried chives
1 tsp. salt
1 1 tsp. thyme
'i tsp. mar
joram
2 medium eggs
I thlsp. water
2/3 cup corn
flake crumbs
Cut breast in half. Carefully
remove skin and bones. Place each
half of breast between waxed paper
and pound gently until flattened
very thin. Cut margarine in half
and then cut each half into four
parts lengthwise, getting 8 small
sticks. Chill
Combine chives, salt, thyme.
Sprinkle an equal amount of the
seasoning over each piece of
flattened chicken breat. Place a
margarine stick on edge and roll
tightly, folding in sides to enclose
margarine and make a firm tight
roll. Fasten with skewers and chill.
Beat eggs and water slightly.
Dip chicken rolls in egg mixture,
drain and roll in corn flake
crumbs. Arrange in shallow, well-
greased baking pan Bake in oven
for 30 minutes at 450 degrees or
until chicken is tender and lightly
browned. Makes 4 to 8 servings.

Macon Memo
The Sherah Israel Synagogue’s
annual Purim Carnival is schedul
ed for 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23. The
family program will include a
Purim play, dinner served by the
Sisterhood, and games.
Dr. and Mrs. Avrom Roobin
will celebrate their 25th wedding
anniversary on February 8.
The 1975 business meeting of
the Macon Federation of Jewish
Charities will take place at 8 p.m.
Sunday, Feb. 2, at Sherah Israel
Synagogue.
Cindy Haskins, daughter of
Burt and Dorothy Haskins of
Tampa, recently observed her Bat
Mitzva. She is the granddaughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Fouis,Haskins.
RICHARD ATTEN
BOROUGH has been added
to the list of characters in Otto
Preminger's “Rosebud," por
traying the leader of a terror group
on location in Haifa. The story
deals with the hijacking of five
girls on the Mediterranean.

Feature of
Mall Exhibits
Among the artists represented at
the Atlanta Humane Society’s
current exhibit through Saturday,
Feb. I, at Phipps Plaza is Israeli
Fmanuel Schary with water colors,
oils, acrylics and stone lithographs
of Jewish subjects Mr. Schary’s
works will be on display next week
at Fenox Square.
His art is said to "Reflect a
realistic and delicate beauty." The
artist, presently in his late 40 s,
grew up in Israel, later coming to
the United States to study
Carnegie Tech and the Art
Students Feague in New York. He
later returned to Israel where he
taught art and painted: Now,
married to an American, who is in
Atlanta with the exhibit, Schary
makes his home On Long Island,
N. Y.
Some of Schary’s work is found
in the Museum of Israel in
Jerusalem, the Haifa Museum,
headquarters of the Chief Rab
binate of Israel, Bar Han Universi
ty, Hebrew University and in the
collection of the President of
Israel. Locations in the United
States include the Brooklyn
Museum, City Hall in New York
and Nassau Community College.
He is listed in Who’s Who in the
International Directory of Art.
Most of Schary’s subjects are
Jewish individuals, usually elderly
men and women, and of rabbis.
Prices on the stone lithos range
from S60 to SI00. Oils range from
$500 to $3200.
Enthusiasm passes from stage to
audience and back again at the
wow of a show put on by Atlanta’s
newest theater group, the
Workshop Theatre.
"Broadway Times Two!!" a
magical musical revue opened
January 22 in a converted
building at 1615 Monroe Drive
across from Ansley Mall. With
limited seating, its projected run
through February 15 will probably
have to be extended as word gets
around of how much fun it is.
The two-part performance
provides excerpts from “Pippin"
followed by a rousing adaptation
of the nostalgic "Over Here".
Singling out performances from a
cast of over-all excellence is dif
ficult, Still, Mandy Beason and Lit
Connah are superb . . Mandy as
an energetic “Andrews sister” in
“Over Here" and Ms. Connah as
Pippin's high-kicking grand
mother. Robert Pittman in the role
ofidealistic Pippin and as “Misfit”
soldier in "Over Here" gets a vote
too. Tickets at $4 can be reserved

Alliance Theatre’s second show,
“When You Cornin’ Back, Red
Ryder?" opens at 8 p.m. Thursday,
Feb. 6, at the Memorial Arts
Center.
The contemporary suspense
drama focuses on captives held
at gunpoint in a diner in the New
Mexico desert. The Off-Broadway
sell-out won the Outer Critics Cir
cle and OBIF awards.

DeKalb Little Theater continues
with the Jean Giraudoux comedy,
"The Enchanted," through Satur
day, Feb. 8. Performances begin at
8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and
4-Screen Film
At AJCC Feb. 2
"Mark’s America,” a 45-minute
sight and sound spectacular shown
on four screens which represent the
four-time zones of the USA, will
be shown Sunday, Feb. 2, at the
Atlanta Jewish Community Center
at 3 and at 4:30 p.m.
This film, heralding the amazing
diversity of the American
landscape, is the creation of Mark
Bristow,' an Englishman who was
previously with Channel One
(creators of the Groove Tube).
Mark’s America “represents
200,000 miles of travel around the
USA and expresses Bristow’s
positive feelings about his adopted
country."
Mr. Bristow will be available
before and after ■ the shows to
answer questions.
Admission is 75 cents and the
program is open to the public.
Synagogue Youth
Plan Coffee House
The Atlanta chapter of the
National Conference of Syna
gogue Youth, NCSY, will hold
their first Coffee House at
Saturday night, Feb. 8, from 9:30
to 12:00 midnight.
The program will consist of
music by “Matzoh" the NCSY
teen band. Hours of ruach, singing
and dancing are promised.
Some of the funds earned from
this event will be given to Torah
Fund, an NCSY charity which
gives aid to persons in Russia,
Israel and the United States.

DLT holds auditions for its next
show, “Once Upon a Mattress,”
