Ask Campaign Clean-Up;
Step-Up In Effort Pledged
All 1975 division chairmen of
the Atlanta Jewish Welfare
Federation have pledged their sup
port and co-operation to step-up
their efforts to see that all
solicitations are completed by
April 30.
“The recent turn of events”, ac
cording to Saul Blumenthal and
Joe Cuba, Campaign chairmen,
“has made our task even more
crucial. Recent events have
produced growing evidence of a
crisis in Jewish life which calls, as
never before, for a strong and un
ified course of action."
They noted that the diplomatic
and economic crunch in Israel is
adding to an already grave situa
tion. The threat, they pointed out,
is not limited to the people of
Israel, but to Jews everywhere, and
“it is only by being steadfast in our
determination and our collective
strength, supporting our common
cause in Israel and here at home,
that we may hope to offset un
favorable outside influences".
Vigorous campaigning con
tinues in all sectors throughout the
community, with particular focus
on meeting the April 30th goal.
The campaign leaders urged all
contributors whose 1975 com
mitments are still forthcoming to
take into account the issue of
