Howard-Benuck
Dr. and Mrs. Eugene G.
Howard of Atlanta announce the
engagement of their daughter,
Dorene Ruth Howard, to Dr.
Irwin Benuck, son of Mr and Mrs.
Jack Benuck of Chicago. A June
wedding is planned.
Miss Howard is currently a
master's candidate in the depart
ment of urban life at Georgia State
Ur1iver$ity.
Dr. Benuck received ’his
bachelor of science degree from
Loyola University and his master's
and PhD degrees in psychology
from the Illinois Institute of
Technology. He is a genetic
counselor in Gainesville, Ga.
M iss Howard is the grand
daughter of Mrs. Carrie Kramer
of Springfield, Mass, and the late
Mr. and M rs - Meyer Shorofsky of
New York City.
Dr Benuck is the grands of Mrs.
Gertrude Sharkansky and the late
Louis Sharkansky and the late Mr.
and Mrs. Hyman Benuck.

Dr. Paul Robert Coplin, son of
James I. Coplin and the late Mrs.
Sally Coplin of Youngstown,

Miss Harris is a graduate of
Irwin County High School, attend
ed the University of Georgia, and
is now attending Mercer School of
Pharmacy in Atlanta.
Dr. Coplin is a graduate of
Rayem High School, received his
pre-medical degree at Ohio State
University and his doctor of
medicine from the University of
Texas School of Medicine. He is
currently a resident at Emory
University Medical School and
will enter private practice upon
completion of his residency.
M iss Harris is the grand
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. L.
Stein of Cartersville, Ga., and the
granddaughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. A. S. Harris of Ocilla, Ga.
The wedding will take place
June 8 in Atlanta.

She is currently employed by the
Atlanta City School System.
The bride-elect is the grand
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ike
Rudderman, formerly of Atlanta.
Mr. Baron graduated from
Tulane University where he was a
member of Sigma Alpha MU
fraternity. He is presently working
for the Fulton Paper Company.
The wedding will be held June
22 in Gainesville. The couple will
reside in Atlanta.

Jenkintown, Pcnna , announce the

Mindy, to Harvey Alperin, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Alperin of
Atlanta.
Miss German is a graduate of
Georgia State University and is
presently associated with Blue
Cross of Georgia in Atlanta. Mr.
Alperin will graduate from
Georgia Tech in June.
The bnde-elect is the grand
daughter of Mrs. Fannie Paul and
the late Solomon Paul, and the late
Mr. and Mrs Charles German, all
of Philadelphia
Mr. Alpienn is the grandson of
Mrs. Jake Goldman and the late
Mr. Goldman, and Mr and Mrs.
Charles Alpenn. all of Atlanta.
The wedding will take place at
Beth Sholom Synagogue. Elkins
Park. Penna . on June 28

Mr. and Mrs. Sam Newman of
Atlanta announce the engagement
of their daughter. Terry Ellen
Newman, to Randy Alan Nordin.

Miss Newman graduated from
Georgia State University and is
employed by the State of Georgia.
Mr. Nordin graduated from
Georgia Institute of Technology
and Emory University School of
Law and is a partner in the law
firm Herman. Nordin, and Ridley.

Robinson-Stcin
Bettie W Robinson of Atlanta
and Raymond H. Stein of Atlanta,
formerly of Birmingham and
Durham, were married on March
23 in an outdoor ceremony on the
banks of the Chattahoochee River.
Rabbi Elbert Sapinsley officiated.
The bride is the granddaughter
of Mrs. Mattie Levonia Owens of
Georgians, Ala., and Elophus
Walter Robinson of Atmore, Ala.
The bridegroom is the son of
Mrs. Esther Tucker of New York
City, formerly of Durham, N.C.,
and of Carl Stein of Durham.
The bride attended Troy State
University and is presently
teaching spiecial education.
Mr. Stein attended North
Carolina State University, the
University of North Carolina and
the Cumberland. School of Law.
He is presently engaged in the
general practice of law in Atlanta.

Mrs. Howard Schulman was in
stalled president at the closing
meeting of Shoshanim Hadassah
held May 7.
Also installed were Mrs.

Pinsky, vice presidents; Mrs.

Mrs. Alan Paul directed a
musical production, "Hadassah —
Bah Humbug, which she wrote
along with Mrs. Daniel Marks,
Mrs. Roger Gardner and Mrs.
Walker. Mrs. Strada was the
pianist and Mrs. Rosenbloum and
Mrs. Schulman were
choreographers. Cast members in
cluded Mrs. Lawrence Brown,
Mrs. Mark Eden. Mrs. Ned Fran

ficers. "Legacy of a Shtetl"
directed by Nancy Sigal will com
plete the program.
