Group Plans
Israel Tour
Knowing how vital tourism is to
bolster Israel’s economy, a group
of 12 couples will leave October 21
for a two-week tour.
All the usual visits to Israel’s
high spots will be made, along with
special guided tours.

Mrs. Joe Zimmerman (Tillie)
has returned home after a long
hospitalization resulting from a
fall. Mrs. Zimmerman, who suf
fered a broken hip and several
other bone breaks, is making nice
progress, her many of friends will
be glad to hear.

Mrs. Mike (Claire) Gettinger is
home recuperating from recent
surgery.
Ed Kahn, who underwent sur
gery recently, is on-the-mend at
home.

Miss Lee Furman of Atlanta
entertained a small group of
friends at dinner on Sunday even
ing, May II, marking the end of
Metropolitan Opera Week. Guests
of honor were Maurizio Mazzieri,
bass who sang the role of Capulet,
Juliette’s father, in Wednesday
night’s performance of Gounod’s
"Romeo et Juliette," and David
Giesser of Miami. Mr. Giesser was
the speaker at Saturday night's
City of Hope banquet honoring
Hazel and Jay Katz. Miss Furman
is with the American Jewish Com
mittee office in Atlanta.
