Marilyn Benveniste, a
member of the board of directors
of the AJCC, has been selected
recipient trf tbe “Young
Leadership Recognition Award”
according to Sidney Parks, presi
dent of the AJCC, and David
Dubin, executive director.
Mrs. Benveniste will be in
cluded in the young leadership
recognition program at the
National Jewish Welfare Board
Biennial convention to be held
March 24-28 at the Fairmont
Hotel in New Orleans.
Mrs. Benveniste and her fami
ly have been active in the Center
for many years both as par
ticipants in the program and as
part of the Center’s leadership
structure. She has served on and
has chaired many Center com
mittees and most recently was
chairperson of the Zaban Park-
Ajecomce Committee which en
joyed one of its finest seasons in
1975.
Mrs. Benveniste will represent
the Atlanta Center in many of
the special young leadership

George Stern, Mr. and Mrs. Paul
Aronin, Mr. and Mrs. Donald
Miller, Dr. Morris Benveniste,
former AJCC president, and Mr.

The theme of the JWB Bien
nial Convention is “From *76

Life - A Challenge.” Prominent
speakers including General
Chaim Heraog will be featured
as well as a series of outstanding
cultural and social events. Other
Center leaders representing the

exhibits one of his works of
“Little People” which he will
demonstrate between 5 and
7:30 p.m. Sunday, Mar. 7, at
the AJCC. A display of 24 of his
sculptures will be on view. A
preview and sale of six Bernar-
di sculptures will be at the
Center before that date. The
Center will receive a commis
sion on any sales made before
the March 7 demonstration.
