Fddman To Third Term
NCJW Begins Planning
For International Convention

Jewish Women (ICJW) is a
volunteer organization with 28
affiliates from 26 countries on
six continents representing over
1 million women. The last time
ICJW met in the U.S.A. was in
1963.
Mrs. Brown, national
chairperson of the ICJW conven
tion committee, has also served
as president of the international
organization and is an honorary
vice president of ICJW.
Members of the Atlanta plan
ning committee include Mrs.
Barbara Asher, Atlanta conven
tion chairperson; Mrs. Grade
Hanchrow. Atlanta Section
president; Mrs. Margaret
Weiller, Mrs. Frances {lunzl,
Mrs. Susie Elson, Mrs. Gail
Evans, Mrs. Sherry Frank, and
Mrs. Judith Taylor.
The planning meeting took
place at the Omni International
Hotel, site of the 1978 ICJW
Convention.
At a meeting last Tuesday of
the board of directors of the
Atlabta Jewish Welfare Federa
tion, Sidney Feldman was un
animously re-elected to head the
Federation for a third one-year
term of office. Milton Weinstein
was re-elected as honorary presi
dent.
Feldman, in accepting, ex
pressed his gratitude to the
board members for their con
fidence in the leadership of the
officers. “The strength of the
Federation”, he stated, “reflects
the growing awareness that as a
united community we can be of
maximum help to the people of
Israel as well as develop our
potential strength to fulfill the
needs of the Atlanta Jewish
community.”
Officers re-elected to serve
are: M. William Breman, David
Goldwasser, Larry Frank and
Max L. Kuniansky, vice
presidents; Dr. Marvin C. Golds
tein, treasurer; and Mrs. Jack I.
Freedman, secretary.
Max Rittenbaum served as
chairman of the nominating
committee, which included
Stanley Baum, Stanley Daniels,
Mrs. Dave Eisenberg, Jack Geld-
bart, Mrs. Harvey Jacobson, Dr.
Bernard Kahn, Edward Krick,
and Sidney Parks.
The following are new
members of the board of direc
tors: Mrs. Leonard Frank, Jack
Geldbart, Dr. William Schatten
and Louis J. Tara toot
Mrs) Isabelle Brown of
Cleveland met with the Atlanta
Section, National Council of
Jewish Women, recentlyoto lay
plans for the May 1978 conven
tion of the International Council
of Jewish Women. She expressed
the enthusiasm of both the
national and international
organizations on their choice of
Atlanta as the convention city.
