Pamela Levy
In concert
Pamela Rosa Levy will be
presented in piano recital at 4
p.m. Sunday, Mar. 13, at the
AJCC.
Mias Levy, who has performed
with many symphony orchestras
and is artist in residence at
Mercer University, will include
works by J. S. Bach, Beethoven,
Granados and Chopin in her
Sunday program.
There is no charge for the con
cert.

Children living near Temple
Sinai can now take advantage of
classes offered by the Center.
An extension program held at
Temple Sinai offers “Magic and
Handicrafts” to 3rd, 4th, 5th and
6th graders on Wednesday after
noons.
Three, four and five year olds
are involved in “Lunch Bunch”
which teaches movement and
also offers arts and crafts. The
children wear orange and green
“Lunch Bunch” t-shirts which
are available to new Lunch
Bunchere. In fact, this program
has- ha&to expand due to great
demand*' - **#*■' -*>
The gym program, after
Lunch Bunch, is also very pop
ular with this age group.
Although Center membership
is not required for participation,
Center membership entitles in
dividuals to a reduction in the
fee.

A new “Tools for Tots” offer
ing for children has drawn a
tremendous response from
parents and kiddies alike. Two
classes will be offered this Spr
ing, beginning on March 20 and
running for eight weeks.
Tools for Tots I will be open to
six and seven year olds whq
want to learn>'~how to u*«
hammers, screw drivers, nails,
some power tools and want to
make simple toys. Tools for Tots
II is an advanced class for six to
eight-year-olds who have prior
experience with basic
woodworking tools.
Enrollment is still open.

is offering three special
workshops during March.
Gourmet Pasaover Cooking
will introduce delectable
delicacies that can be created
during Passover. This two-day
workshop will be held Monday,
Mar. 21, and Tuesday, Mar. 22,
from 8-10 p.m., at the home of
Mrs. Donald Minsk.

Tuesday, Mar. 22, and Thursday,
Mar. 24, from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at
the AJCC.
Harold Shumacher, author of
“101 Restaurants: An Insider’s
Guide to Atlanta Dining,” will
lead a six-week class, “Dining
Out In Atlanta.” The class will
include two weeks of classroom
instruction (choosing a
restaurant, ordering, tipping,
selecting wine and service) plus
visits to four Atlanta
restaurants. Classes will begin
Wednesday, Mar. 23, at 7:30 p.m.
Experiencing the new
restaurants will begin after
Passover.

Senior adults
The Senior Adult Department
offers a variety of art classes in
cluding ceramics, arts and
crafts, sewing and painting.
In the ceramic class held Mon
days from 10 a.m. till 12,
members work on pre-molded
figurines. They paint in the pre
designed areas with brush and
underglazes.
Clasaer are open. Those who
would h.-e to make gifts for
friends and family, make ap
parel for themselves or decorate
a home, or simply want to create
something new, are invited to
