appointed chairmen of the Ad
vance Gifts Division for the 1977
Atlanta Jewish Welfare Federa
tion Campaign.
Serving as vice chairmen are
Leonard Edlin, Leonard Epstein,
Aaron Feldman, Saul Fox, Dr.
Harold E. Friedman, George
Goldman, Robert Goldwasser,
Harry Katz, Herb Kolodkin,
Sidney Mendel, Sidney Parks,
Howard Peck, George Robbins,
Jack Rosenberg, Cary
Rosenthal, Robert Siegal and
Steve Zier.
i Professor Pollack, a forceful
and dynamic speaker, is an ex
pert on the Soviet Union. Long
active in Jewish communal af
fairs, he is a member of the Ex
ecutive of the World Zionist
Organization, the board of
governors of the Jewish Agency
and the board ot directors of the
United Israel Appeal.
He was instrumental in es
tablishing the American
Professor for Peace in the Mid
dle East, an organization of 15,-
The Advance Gifts Division is
responsible for minimum
pledges of $365 and up. In 1976,
the division raised just under
$100,000. The Division has set its
goal for 1977 at $125,000.
The three division chairmen
are all Campaign veterans, hav
ing served in numerous previous
campaigns in a variety of
positions. Norman Diamond is
currently president of Men’s
ORT and is a vice president of
Ahavath Achim Synagogue. Ir
ving Libowsky is a past presi
dent of the Atlanta Bureau of
Jewish Education and past
president of the Atlanta Zionist
Organization. He is a member of
the board of the Jewish Home.
Ed Krick, active in many Jewish
and civic community
organizations, is a member of
the Federation’s board of direc
tors. He is a past president of
Shearith Israel Synagogue and
was their Israel Bond honoree in
1975.

Pollack at a dinner meeting at
the Standard Club at 6 p.m. on
Wednesday, Mar. 30.
Dr. William Schatten and Dr.
Marvin Goldstein are heading
the Health Services Division.
