is the topic for a mini-weekend
sponsored by Atlanta Hillel
Federation April 8-10, at Hillel

Atlanta, will be the guest
speakers.

and will answer questions. At 2
p.m. Saturday, Larry Fetter-
man, director of the Stqdent
Struggle for Soviet Jpwey will
conduct two workshops.
At a Sunday brunch on April
10 at 1&45 p.m., Mr. Fettermsn
will discuss the "Jewish Dissi
dent In the 8oviet Union.”
A film, “Anti-Semitism in the
Soviet Union — How Real Is It?"
and a social hour will conclude

Holocaust Library
A special exhibit of portions of
the Cantor Goodfriend
Holocaust Collection is being
held from April 12-21 in the lob
by of the Candler Library at
Emory University.
The exhibit, a first for the
library, is being held in conjunc-
tion with Holocaust
Commemoration Week.

participate in the show.
According to Laure Axelrod,
1977 Atlanta Council Talent
Show Co-ordinator, “Much hard
work has been put into the show,
and “We’ve Got Magic to Do”
vwill prove to be the best talent
show ever.”

Temple Sisterhood
Alcoholism, drug abuse and
abortion is the topic for discus
sion at the Temple Sisterhood’s
April 11 meeting. The program
begins at 10:30 a.m., with
luncheon at 12:15.

Elaine Friedman, director of
community relations, Northside

Abortion; and Larry Lindsay,

Thirty-two Atlantans, along
with participants from Chat
tanooga, Charlotte, and Miami,
have returned from the two-
week Adult Study Tour In Israel
(ASTI-1977) led by Dr. Leon H.
Spotts, executive director of the
Atlanta Bureau of Jewish
Education.
Highlights of the tour includ
ed lunch with Abba Eban, a visit
with an Arab family, seeing
Masada at sunrise, staying on a
kibbutz, and touring from Haifa
to Eilat.
The participants’ itinerary
and study focused upon creating
an understanding of how
historical roots and past history
of the land impinge on all
aspects of the modern State of
Israel.
Three preliminary study
sessions on the geography,
history and wars of Israel
preceded the tour.
Last year’s ASTI group has
met once a month with Dr.
Spotts to continue their studies
of Israel and the Bible.
