Avmragm agm Is 35 Got* City installation sat for May 1; Lefco heads youngest slate in years Gate City Lodge, B’nai B’rith, will have ita annual Officer*’ Installation — Distinguished Service Award Dinner, May 1, at the Peachtree Plaza Hotel. This annual event will have as its honoree this year Erwin Zaban. Mr. Zaban, noted Atlanta ciyic and community leader, is presently chairman of the board of National Service Industries. The officers to be installed will be the youngest group in the lodge’s recent past. Hie average age of all the officers combined approximates 35 years. Officers for 1977-78 are: Stan Lefco, president, is a partner in his own law firm. Lefco is originally from Norfolk, Va. He was vice chairman of the general gifts division of the Atlanta Jewish Welfare Federa tion fund drive, and has authored several articles for local business and law publications. President-elect is Leon Socol. He is personnel director and production manager for Atlantic Envelope Company and has been with the company for the past 25 years. Socol has two degrees from Georgia Tech and also a journalism degree from Georgia State University. Allen Marks, vice president, is a hospital administrator for the United States Army. He is a native of Indianapolis. He has taught hospital administration at Baylor University and has edited a hospital financial management text. Allen Soden, vice president, is sales manager for WSB Radio. He has been president of the University of Florida Alumni Association and vice chairman of the DeKalb County Industrial Development Authority. Fred Yondorf, vice president, is a proprietor of a fast food restaurant and is very active in Congregation Shearith Israel ac tivities. Allen Zaner, vice president, is district sales manager for GAF business forms division. He is a native of Toledo, Ohio. Allen was the founder and is currently the president of the Gate City Lodge tion, he is a professor at Georgia State University, is a faculty ad visor to the Hillel program and is a consultant to the Atlanta Jewish Family and Children’s Bureau. Michael Weiser, treasurer, is a CPA and presently a manager with the CPA firm of Wolf and Company. He has been active in past Jewish Welfare Federation drives, in the previous United Way campaign, and is assisting Women’s American ORT in its accounting needs.
