Mrs. Klarsfeld is the author of “Wherever They May Be,” a book documenting her anti-Nazi crusade. She explained, “As a German, I feel I must help bring to justice those Germans who were responsible for killing and torturing so many innocent people during World War II.” The 37-year-old mother of two said that she lectures in order to raise money so that she and her lawyer-husband can press their fight against ex-Nazis in court full time. They fight as individuals, backed by no particular party or organization. Mrs. Klarsfeld boldly accepts the consequences of her actions. Her mother, who lives in Berlin, is ashamed and embarrassed by her daughter. Many Germans believe that Mrs. Klarsfeld is a disgrace to her homeland. Yet, despite these bitter consequences, Mrs. Klarsfeld is pleased by what she views as the success of her efforts.
