Revolution came, she
emigrated to New York and
later to Northern California
where she organized the
California Alliance of Jewish
Women in 1921 and helped
organize Berkeley's first
synagogue.
Dr. Greenfield's advice on
how to live to be 100 is “Take |
rare of yourself and take care of
those who can't take care of I
themselves."
The Rosenberg glacier in
Antarctica will now be represented
on maps of the area as the U.S.
Board of Geographic Names
honored Theodore J Rosenbergin
recognition of his research in
Antarctica where he led a team of
scientists from the University of
Maryland in studying energy
particles and electromagnetic
waves. Not too excited about his
claim to fame. Prof. Rosenberg
said he knew of the locatibn of the
glacier, 750 miles west of Siple
Station on Rainier Peninsula, but
did not know how big it was and
did not ever expect to see it.

Walter J. Fellenz, the American
Army officer who led the combat
infantry division troops that
overran the infamous Dachau
concentration camp in 1945, has
responded to objectors to the
teaching about the Holocaust in
New York public schools in a
poignant letter to the New York
Times.
Fellenz wrote, “Now, 32 ‘/j years
later, 1 am still shocked by what I
saw during my 16 hours at the
liberation of this shameful place."
He related that his troops found
32.000 live bodies and 30,000 dead
bodies when they entered Dachau.
Fellenz closed his letter stating,
“No, I am not a Jew; 1 am but an
old soldier "
The former Karen Price and
Clark Howard of Atlanta, who
recently were married were guests
of honor at a dinner the evening
before the wedding giken by the
bridegroom’s sister and brothers,
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Slutzky,
Mr. and Mrs. Gary Howard, and
Mr. and Mrs. Neal Howard, at the

This has been one of the best
years for Mark Roth, 26-year-old
Jewish bowler whose winnings
passed the $100,000 mark at the
A M F Grand Prix in Detroit earlier
this month. He has maintained a
218.396 average on the
Professional Bowler’s Association
circuit. He tells inquirers about his
game that 80 percent of the game is
mental—confidence and knowing
what to do. He is not one who
works hard to keep in shape, and
considers two or three 40-minute
sessions of bowling a week enough
conditioning. “You know.” he
says, “too much practice is as bad
as none." l.ast year he came within
two pins of breaking the wbrld’s
record of winning three
consecutive events, joining with
two others to hold such an honflr
in the 18-year-history of the PBA.
