Mrs. Lcpsclter
Phyllis Eileen Libowsky became
the bride of Jay Michael Lepselter
Saturday, March 4, in a double
ring ceremony at the Shearith
Israel Synagogue in Atlanta.
Rabbi Marc Wilson officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Irving Libowsky of
Atlanta. She is the granddaughter
of Mrs. Sarah Libowsky and the
late Joe Libowsky and of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Rosenberg, all
of Atlanta.
The bridegroom is the son of
Mrs. Naomi Schenfeld of
Woodmere, N.Y. and the late
Bernard H. Lepselter. He is
the late Mrs. Gertie Lepselter of
Brooklyn, N.Y. and of Max
Kupfer and the late Mrs. Evelyn
Kupfer of Hollywood, Fla.,
formerly of Brooklyn, N.Y.
The bride was given in marriage
by her parents. Matrons of honor
were Elaine Cohn and Barbara
Watson, sisters of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Arlene
Libowsky, sister-in-law of the
bride, Shelley Gerson and Eileen
Weinstein.
Gary Lepselter, brother of the
bridegroom, was best man.
Groomsmen-ushers were Marty
Libowsky, brother of the bride,
Alan Cohn and Buddy Watson,
brothers-in-law of the bride, and
Mark Scharff.
1 Stacey Cohn, niece of the bride
and Dori Schenfeld, sister of the
bridegroom, were flower girls.
Cary Libowsky and Warren Cohn,
nephews of the bride, were ring
bearers.
Debbie Gold kept the bride's
book, and Kim Goldsmith handed
out placecards.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica,
the couple will reside in Rockville,
Md.
Shenk—Hyman
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Shenk of
Atlanta announce the engagement
of their daughter, Mindy, to Jack
Laurence Hyman, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Roy Hyman of Brooklyn,
N.Y.
Miss Shenk received a masters
degree in librarianship from
Emory University, and is
employed as a librarian with the
Atlanta Public Library. She is the
granddaughter of Mrs. Rose
Shenkoff and the late Joseph
Shenkoff, and of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Max Broder, all of New
York.
Mr. Hyman is pursuing a degree
in social work at the State
University of New York at Albany.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Hyman and the late Mr. and
Mrs. Jacob Dienstag, all of New
York.
Busbin—Hirsch
Miss Susan Earle Busbin of ^
Summerville, Ga. and Dr. Robert
Joseph Hirsch of Dallas, Tex. were
married on April 24, at
Congregation Children of Israel,
in Athens. Rabbi Fred M. Raskind
officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. James W. Busbin of
Summerville. The bridegroom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred M.
Hirsch of Atlanta.
The couple are both graduates
of the Medical College of Georgia
in Augusta.
The bride had as her attendants
Mrs. Kaye Fountain of Griffin,
Ga., and Miss Carol Hudson of
Augusta.
Jeffrey M. Hirsch, brother of the
bridegroom, served as best man,
and Allen Soden was groomsman.
A reception was held at the
Atlanta Marriott Hotel.
The couple will live in Dallas,
Tex.
Miss Tillem
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin 1. Tillem
of Atlanta announce the
engagement of their daughter,
Gayle Lee, to Richard Benator,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Benator
of Atlanta.
Miss Tillem is the grand
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan
Tillem of Holliswood, N. Y., and of
Mrs. Sylvia Held of Atlanta, and
the late Arthur Held.
Mr. Benator is the grandson of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac
k Benator and of Mrs. Emily B. Levy
of Atlanta and the late Behor
David Levy.
Miss Tillem attends Georgia
State University School of Urban
Life and plans to continue her
studies at Augusta College.
Mr. Benator graduated from
Tulane University, magna cum
laude with a degree in Medical
Engineering. He was a member of
Tau Beta Pi and Omicron Delta
Kappa, honorary fraternities and
Zeta Beta Tau. He is presently
attending medical school at the
Medical College of Georgia in
Augusta.
The wedding is planned for June
25, at Congregation Beth Jacob.

Mrs. Elizabeth Arnold of Utica,
N.Y., announces the engagement
of her daughter, JacLynn
Harrison, to Bruce H. Morris, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Perry B. Morrisof
Atlanta.
The bride-elect is the director of
Marketing and Communications
for the Atlanta Chamber of
Commerce. She is a graduate of
Boston University with a Bachelor
of Science degree and a master's
degree in Psychology.
The bridegroom-elect is an
attorney practicing with the
Atlanta firm of Fierer & Devine.
He received a Bachelor of Science
degree from the University of
North Carolina and his Juris
Doctor degree from Emory Law
School.
The wedding is planned for May
6 at Ahavath Achim Synagogue.
