Steve Marrinson, psycho
therapist and leader of psycho
logical evaluations for the Jewish
Family and Children’s Bureau of
Atlanta, has recently opened a
private practice in psychology in
Atlanta. Formerly a psychologist
with the Northside Mental Health
Center, Marrinson holds a Ph D.
in clinical psychology from Emory
University. A member of the
Temple, he is the son of Haskell
and Dorothy Marrinson of
Atlanta. Following in the footsteps
of his father, a violinist with the
Atlanta symphony, the younger
Marrinson is a string bass player
with the Atlanta-Emory Or
chestra.

Dr. Mark M. Fisher, director of
the Jewish Vocational Service of
the Atlanta Jewish Welfare
Federation, will lead a seminar
entitled “Select Your Employer,”
on Thursday, May 11, from 9:45
a.m. to 12 noon, and from 7:30 to
9:30 p.m., at Perimeter Mall. The
workshops are being offered
in conjunction with the mall’s
“Accent on Women" program and
are designed for women reentering
the job market or entering for the
first time.

recently named to the dean’s list
for the winter quarter at Arm
strong State College, in Savannah.

Dr. Harry Prystowsky, Provost
and Dean of the Milton §. Hershey
Medical Center, in Hershey, Pa.,
was recently honored at the
Eastern Pennsylvania Hadassah
Region’s Myrtle Wreath luncheon.
Dr. Prystowsky is the son-in-law
of Simon and Gertie Bressler, of
Miami, formerly of Atlanta.
Eighty-eight year old Irene
l.andsberger, a resident of the
Jewish Home, was recently
chosen Ms. Jewish Home.
The Jewish Home contest
was part of the annual Ms.
Georgia Nursing Home
pageant.
“Ms. Jewish Home" will vie
with other nursing home
contest winners for the Ms.
Georgia Nursing Home title on
Wednesday, May 17, during
National Nursing Home Week.
The Jewish Home contes
tants were judged on several
criteria, including personality
and participation in nursing
home activities. Judges for the
contest were Mark Fisher,
Frances Goodman and Vida
Goldgar.
Irene l.andsberger is the
mother of two and is interested
in all activities that go on in the
Jewish Home.
Beverly Tannenbaum of Augusta displays the plaque presented
to her by the Sisterhood of Adas Yeshurun Synagogue as its
Woman of the Year. A former Sisterhood president and advisor,
Mrs. Tannenbaum has served as a synagogue board representative,
civic affairs chairman, vice president in charge of education, vice
president of fund raising, telephone committee chairman and co-
chairman and visual aids chairman. She has also served on the
Sisterhood's refurbishing committee, and has been chairman of
decorations, parliamentarian and nominating committee
chairman. Mrs. Tannenbaum is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Loeb of Atlanta.
