Zaban branch drive
enters Stage II
The Atlanta Jewish
Community Center is now
entering the second phase of its
capital fund drive for its Zaban
branch according to Paul
Aronin, the Center president.
The campaign is taking place
in two parts: $10,000 and over
gifts which were solicited in
the fall of 1977, and gifts under
$10,000 to be solicited in the
spring of 1978.
“The campaign is quite
unlike the annual maintenance
campaigns which serve to
continue the programs of
national Jewish agencies,”
Aronin said. “The nature of a
capital fund campaign gives the
opportunity to prospective
endowment contributors to
memorialize or honor loved
ones in perpetuity."
The current phase of the
Community Center campaign
is headed by Leonard Levey,
Perry Morris and George
Stern. Within the next two
weeks brochures explaining the
reasons for the campaign and
endowment opportunities will
be mailed to four thousand
Atlantans. Apart from serving
a pressing need caused by the
demographic shifts of the
Jewish community, the future
Center satellite is viewed as an
institution that is viable and
visual.
