Liebert “Bud” Mossier Mrs. Rose Landey

David Hoch
Liebert “Bud” Mossier of
Indianapolis, Ind., father of Mrs.
Jack Taffel of Atlanta, died
recently in Rochester, Minn.
Mossier, chairman of Mossier
Insurance Agency of Indianapolis,
was a former president and one
time campaign chairman of the
Jewish Welfare Federation and a
member of the executive
committee. He attended the
National Welfare Federation
Convention when it was held in
Atlanta.
He was a former president of
Independent Insurance Agents of
Indianapolis, Broadmoor Country
Club and the Indianapolis chapter
of the American Jewish
Committee. He was a former
member of the Indianapolis
Zoning Board, Brandeis
University board of governors and
the boards of directors of United
Way, Jewish Community Center
Association, Western Golf
Association and Jewish
Educational Association of
Indianapolis.
In addition to his daughter,
survivors include wife, Shirley
Mossier, and son, James Mossier,
both of Indianapolis.
Contributions can be made to
the Jewish Welfare Federation.

Schmidt, speaking in a Cologne
Synagogue on the anniversary of
Krystallnacht, Nov. 9, 1978, as
saying “...We all must come to
terms with our own conscience...
there is a clash of important moral
principles that has to be
resolved...we politicians and
legislators will listen to the
comments of our Jewish fellow
citizens, of our friends in Israel and
of our neighbors here in Europe."
As members of the coalition
quietly filed out, comments varied.
Most seemed slightly disappoint
ed, but, as one member said, “This
is only the opening gun."
Mrs. Rose Landey, 89, of
Atlanta, formerly of Valdosta,
died Sunday, Jan. 28.
Graveside service was held
Monday, Jan. 29, at the Valdosta
Hebrew Cemetery with Rabbi
Dvorkin officiating.
Mrs. Landey, a native of Latvia,
had resided in Valdosta since 1921
and had lived in Atlanta for the
past five years. She was a member
of Temple Israel in Valdosta and
was a charter member of its
sisterhood and Hadassah, along
with several civic organizations.
She was the widow of the late
Benjamin landey.
Surviviors include a brother,
Louis Druck of Chicago;
daughters, Mrs. Louis Rosenberg
and Mrs. Howard Margol, both of
Atlanta; sons, Irving Landey and
William Landey, both of Valdosta;
12 grandchildren and 10 great
grandchildren.
Mrs. Annie Cohen
Kaminsky
Mrs. H R. (Dick) Kaminsky, 74,
of Fitzgerald died Thursday, Jan.
25.
Funeral service was held Friday,
Jan. 26 at the Fitzgerald Hebrew
Congregation, with interment in
the Fitzgerald Hebrew Congrega
tion Cemetery.
Mrs. Kaminsky, a native of
Poland, lived in Fitzgerald for 42
years. She was a member of
Hadassah, the Fitzgerald Hebrew
Congregation and was past
president of its sisterhood. Mrs.
Kaminsky was also past president
of the Fitzgerald Woman’s Club,
past president of the P.T.A.,
chairman of the fundraising drive
for the Cancer Fund, and served as
an organizer of the south Georgia
Israel Bond drive, and the United
Jewish Appeal south Georgia
drive.
Survivors include her husband,
H.R. Kaminsky; songs, Tavin A.
Kaminsky and H. Penson
Kaminsky, both of Atlanta, Larry
E. Kaminsky of Fitzgerald;
brothers, Joseph Cohen and Jack
Cohen, both of Atlanta; and six
grandchildren.

David S. Rubnitz, 61, of
Newburgh, N.Y., formerly of
Savannah, died Friday, Jan. 26.
Funeral service was held
Sunday, Jan. 28, in Newburgh.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs.
Jenette Rubnitz; daughters,
Marcia and Phyliss Rubnitz; son,
William Rubnitz, all of Newburgh;
sister, Mrs. Rosalie Schulman, of
Savannah; brothers, Beryl
Rubnitz of Savannah and Julius
Rubnitz' of Waynesboro; and
several nieces and nephews.
David Hoch, 78, of Bronx, N.Y.,
died Friday, Jan. 19. He was the
father of Mrs. Toby Mayson of
Atlanta.
Funeral services was held
Sunday, Jan. 21 in the Riverside
Chapel in Mt. Vernon, N.Y.
Mr. Hoch, a native of Poland,
was a retired tailor and clothes
designer.
Other survjvors include
daughters, Mrs. Frieda Reichler
and Mrs. Mildred Amdur; son,
Mr. Murry Hoch, of New York;
five grandchildren and two-great
grandchildren.
