Dr. Harold A. Black of
Savannah was elected national
vice president of the American
Association of Hospital
Dentists at the organization s
19th annual meeting in New
York City recently. The
organization consists of more

and information relative to
dental care in hospitals.
Dr. Black, a member of St.
Joseph Hospital's staff since
1974, has served two terms as
dentistry department chief. He
is a graduate of the Emory
School of Dentistry, and b a

Academy of Implants and
Transplants.
Barkers Tnchman has been
elected president of the American
Academy and Institute of Arts and
Letters Tnchman. who won the
Pulitzer Prize for two of her novels
and whose history of the 14th
century. “A Distant Mirror." is
currently on the bestseller list, is
the first woman president of the
80-year history of the Academy.
Abraham Sntzkever. famed
Yiddish poet, has won the $1.000
1979 B’nai B’nth International
Literary Award.
