Somehow we have programmed ourselves to think that youth is the best part of our lives. So with each birthday that youth threatens to escape us. In most societies age is synonymous with wisdom and knowledge. But Americans have regrettably turned to TV and newspaper ads which glorify the young and the beautiful. A change is coming, though. People are slowly but surely doing away with the old standards.
