Hadassah has 'stay at home’ donor
In an effort to combat soaring
inflation both in Israel and at
home, the Atlanta Chapter of
Hadassah will hold a Stay at Home
Donor on Nov. 3 in lieu of its
traditional dinner affair.
Each member is requested to
mark Nov. 3 as a night to stay at
home and to carefully weigh
contributions for Hadassah’s life-
giving projects. This year’s absence
of a costly Donor with its need for
entertainmoot costs, frees
members from the necessity of
buying a new dress, hiring a baby
sitter, and spending a costly
evening out.
The non-donor Donor reflects
Hadassah's attitude, which is to see
things as they are and to take
action. Mrs. Ernie Dreyer, chapter
president, states: “With inflation in
Israel at an all-time high and
expected to rise to 100 percent by
the end of the year, our
commitment to various projects
must be thought of in dollars.”
Although this new concept
reflects change, the philosophy of
reaching out to help Israel has not
been altered. Every dollar
contributed will be used to support
the Hadassah Medical Organiza
tion, thus ensuring vital hospital
services. A quota of $180,000 has
been set in order to sustain these
commitments.

will benefit the City of Hope
National Pilot Medical Center in
Duarte, Calif.

cheese will be served. A door prize

lithograph.
