A concern for both participants
and planners of singles groups is
programming. Participants want
good quality events, interesting,
relevant and conducive to meeting
other people. Planners want to
stay within their budgets (if they
have one), and create interesting,
relevant, programs conducive to
meeting people.
There are problems. Often the
same people make up the steering
committee year after year. Not that
they are a clique, it’s just that it is
hard to get people involved. More
people mean fresh ideas.
Attempts are made by all the
groups to encourage singles to
voice their opinions and to help in
the decision-making.

chances are other people will like it
too’.”
