Fishman of Atlanta will take place
at 9 a.m.. Saturday. Dec. I. at the
Ahavath Achtm Synagogue. Mark
is the son of Peter Fishman and
Mrs. Brenda Fishman, both of
Atlanta.

Dr. Victor E. Silverman, a
native of Savannah now practicing
in Atlanta, has been certified as a
Diplomate in the Subspeciality of
Endocrinology and Metabolism.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Benajmin
Silverman of Savannah, he was
certified asa Diplomate in Internal
Medicine in 1976.
Dr. Silverman is married to the
former Saba Wise of Atlanta. They
have two children.

Citrenbaum of Forest Park will
celebrate their 40th wedding
anniversary on Nov. 22.
Citrenbaum. a practicing attorney,
is serving his second term as
commander of Atlanta Post. No.
112, Jewish War Veterans. His
wife, a member of the Jewish War
Veterans Auxiliary, has been
active in the nursing education
field.
Jack J. Spitzer of Seattle,
Wash., and Chevy Chase, Md.,
president of B’nai B’rith
International, has been elected
chairman of the board of trustees
of the National Jewish
Hospital/ National Asthma Center
in Denver. Spftzer, who recently
completed his first year as head of
the world’s largest and oldest
Jewish communal organization, is
a retired banker.
Founded in 1899 with the help of
B’nai B’rith in Denver, the Center
is world renowned for treatment,
research and training in the areas
of chronic respiratory diseases and
immune system disorders.
Sue Kollenger, national B’nai
B’rith fund-raising chairwoman,
led a B’nai B’rith Women
leadership workshop at Lake
Lanier Nov. 3-4 at the home of
Mrs. Rose C'lein. Assisting in the
workshop was Connie Giniger.
Southeastern regional director.
Each of the newly formed chapters
was represented, including the
recently chartered Young
Professional Chapter. Atlantans
attending included Rose Clein,
Cindy Friedman, Esther Kaye,
Bonnie Kraut, Judy Cowan, Lynn
Berkowitz, Beth Wender, Judy
Tieder, Debi Rich, Sheila Rotter,
Adrienne Olinger. and Ethel
Cenker.
Newcomers
Dr. Irving H. Goldstein of
Atlanta, a member of Gate City
Lodge. B’nai B’rith, will receive
an award from MATCH
(Metropolitan Atlanta Task
Committee for the Handicap
ped) honoring him for 22 years
of serv ice as its chairman at the
annual Gate City Lodge Honor
the Handicapped Dinner to be
held at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday.
Nov. 27, at the Riviera Hyatt
Motel. Guy Sharpe, weather
man and features reporter for
WXIA-TV, will be the guest
speaker.
Bruce and Germaine Weinstein
of Dunwoody announce the birth
of a son, Harris Scott, on Nov. 6.
Grandparents are Mrs. Hyman
Weinstein of Bessemer, Ala,, and
Mrs. Max Zalta of Brooklyn. The
bris was performed by Rabbi Isaac
M. Aisenstark.

among artists selected to have their
work included in the Second
Annual Michigan Photograph
Exhibition sponsored by the
Traverse City Arts Council. More
than 1(10 Michigan artists
submitted entries to the juried
show.
Daughter of Mrs. Suzanne M.
Danzig and Dr. Lamont Danzig of
Savannah, she served as an intern
last summer in the photo
department of the Savannah
News-Press.

Ken Heyman of Martinez, Ga.,
vice president and general
manager of H & S Transfer
Company in Augusta, was elected
first vice president of the Georgia
Movers Association at its 40th
annual meeting in Athens on Nov.
2. A certified moving consultant,
he has served on the association's
board of directors for the past
three years and was second vice
president last year. Heyman and
his wife, Meryl, and son, Scott, are
members of Adas Yeshuron
Synagogue in Augusta.

principal of the Savannah Hebrew
Day School and present principal
of the Ner Israel Rabbinical
College in Montreal. Canada, will
receive the Educator’s Award at
the 36th annual awards dinner of
Torah Umcsorah. National
Society for Hebrew Day Schools,
on Nov. 18 in New York
Levine is being honored for his
efforts on behalf of intensive
Jewish education both in the
United States and Canada.
