‘PEP’ members
Chevra Kadisha volunteers meet to be honored
I he evening of March I, 1982,
corresponded this year with the
seventh day ol Adar, and is the
traditional yahr/eit and date of
birth of Moses. It is a universal
practice among Jewish communities
for the various members of Chevra
Kadisha/holy burial societies, to
come together on this date to
review the year’s activities “Seven
Adar” also provides an
opportunity for thecommunity-at-
large to honor the workers in the
Chevra Kadisha, whose task
throughout the year is to prepare
the deceased for burial through the
traditional “Taharah” process of
washing, dressing and guarding
the departed from death until
burial.
This year, over 100 Chevra
Kadisha volunteers representing
Congregations Ahavath Achim,
Beth Jacob, Or VeShalom and
City of Hope
to have mini-bazaar
The City of Hope’s annual mini
bazaar will be held at 7 p.m.
Saturday, March 27, at the
Decatur Federal Bank, 116
Clairmont Avenue, near Decatur
Square.
The preview begins at 7 p.m. A
chicken dinner will be served by
singing waiters at 7:30 p.m.
Entertainment will be provided bv
Max Robkin. and door prizes will
be given.

AJCC plans Passover
special for children
AJCC plans its two-day
Passover Special for children on
Monday, April 12, and Tuesday,
April 13, from 10a m to3:.30p.m .
at Zaban Park.
The special will include a game
room, sports, movies, crafts and a

The group heard Divrei Torah
dealing with the subject of the
yahrzeit of Moshe Rabenu, and
held open discussions concerning
practical ways of improving the
service which the various groups
render to the members of the
community.
Sponsors of the event hope to be
able to expand the event to include
any and all congregational groups
who are involved or wish to be
involved in Chevra Kadisha
volunteer society, within their own
respective congregations.

AJCC offers
. Lama/e classes
The AJCC offers childbirth
experience through small, intimate
Lamaze Childbirth classes held on
Wednesdays at the Zaban Branch
building
Taught by Peri Weinstein, a
certified childbirth educator,
participants learn about breathing
techniques, labor and delivery, and
relaxation and body building
exercises. The next six-week
session begins at 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, April 21, forduedates
June and July. Cost for the class is
$40 for members and $50 for non-
members, a couple. Early
registration is encouraged

Spring Bargainata
The National Council of Jewish
Women is sponsoring its annual
Spring Bargainata which is the sale
of high quality, new or gently worn
clothing and housewares at
bargain prices.
