Awareness of movement
classes to be at AJCC
The Atlanta Jewish Community
Center will be holding classes on the
Feldenkrais Method of Awareness
Through Movement.
The class will be held on
Mondays from 7:30 to 9 p.m.,
beginning Feb. 28, and on
Thursdays from I0 to 11:30 a,m.,
beginning March l. Admission is
$35 for members and $45 for non
members. Each session is 10 weeks.

BBYO officers elected
At its recent southern region
convention, BBYOers from
Georgia and South Carolina
elected Ken Bergman as the AZA
regional president and Donna
Epstein as BBG southern region
president.
Donna is the daughter of Gerald
and Suellen Epstein. She is a junior
at Yeshiva High School and is the
student council representative for
the junior class.
Ken is the son of Dr. Robert and
Marcia Bergman. He is a junior at
Punwoody High School and is the
vice president of the school’s
debate team.

Savannah women plan casino night
The Dorothy L. Wexler Chapter
of irnai B’ritlt Women in
Savannah will hold its annual
casino night on Saturday, March
5, at the Jewish Educational
Alliance.

available at the door. Casino night
is the only fund raising project

was elected southern region AZA
vice president. He is presently the
moreh for Dixie Council AZA and
is a member of the Charleston
AZA chapter.
Etz Chaim groups
to sponsor blood drive
The men’s club and sisterhood
of Congregation Etz Chaim will
sponsor a blood drive, in
cooperation with the American
Red Cross, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sunday, Feb. 20, it the synagogue.
Appointments are not
necessary.

Adult enrichment institute
to end winter classes
The Institute for Adult
Enrichment, offered by the
Atlanta Jewish Community
Center and Congregation Shearith
Israel, will close its winter schedule
of classes on Feb. 24 with speaker
Mrs. Liane Levitan, DeKalb
County Commissioner, at 1 p.m.
Other classes include Rabbi
Shlomo Bluming, Dr. Donald
Agnew, who will speak about the
“Socialization Process,"; a Bridge
class for beginners taught by Matt
Nesbitt; “Grooming for Women";
painting with Julius Avruch;
exercise with An Bertschy; “Use of
Time,” featuring Adrienne
Rosenberg; and “Personal
Computers,” with Dr. Lane
Hardy.
The program is designed for
retired and semi-retired men and
women. There is a fee of $2.50 for
the day. A new session begins in
April.
